If he could have gotten a first round pick from someone at the draft, why didnt that team outbid SF yesterday?
Maybe teams weren’t aware that SF and NE were communicating about jimmy

So BB kept it a secret and traded him to SF for a 2nd instead of calling the team that offered a first or 2 a few months ago?Maybe teams weren’t aware that SF and NE were communicating about jimmy
So...none of this plethora of interested teams with buckets of first round picks to throw around...didn't bother to call to inquire about Garoppolo less than 24 hours before the trade deadline?Maybe teams weren’t aware that SF and NE were communicating about jimmy
Well he did sign Gilmore for like 20 billion...So BB kept it a secret and traded him to SF for a 2nd instead of calling the team that offered a first or 2 a few months ago?
Do you think BB is Forest Gump?

And that will turn out to be a good moveWell he did sign Gilmore for like 20 billion...
No kidding, I've been posting that all morning. You tell me what team offered a first because that Cleveland rumor was debunked.
Hopfully we can find you a new team to root for and a forum to post on soon so we dont have to see your drivel anymore.Well he did sign Gilmore for like 20 billion...

I think you don't understand my post.

How is a tweet from Rapoport a "debunking". Who's to say that he's right? You tell me what team offered a first because that Cleveland rumor was debunked.

You are kidding me right? He may have called the Browns and was denied because they just drafted a QB at the top of the second round.
If teams were offering multiple 1s for him before the draft they wouldn’t let him go for a 2Obviously not lol and for that I’m sorry. IMO Teams in the top 15 are more likely to target darnold Rosen Allen on rookie deals then paying jimmy more money. Besides the browns 2nd can’t do any better at the moment than the niners pick
It was debunked before, as in it was all speculationHow is a tweet from Rapoport a "debunking". Who's to say that he's right?

What teams were offering more (btw no one ever even implied anyone but Cleveland was serious) went in a different direction and are happy, haven’t had a miserable first half of the season so that they aren’t even more interested, and would offer a 1 or multiple 1s for a guy then change their mind because you think he didn’t look good in camp?Based on your post it seems that you are assuming that because they didn't (or couldn't) get a first round pick for Jimmy yesterday that they couldn't get a first round pick during the offseason. I think that's a terrible assumption.
Jimmy G's value was greatest right before the draft b/c.....
1.) He looked great in his latest game action.
2.) He would have the full offseason (including training camp) to acclimate to his new team (for chemistry purposes).
3.) It would give management plenty of time to analyze if they want invest in his future (whether by franchise tag or long term contract).
Instead, what has since happened is...........
1.) Jimmy didn't look good in camp.
2.) The team will only be getting him for half the season.
3.) Teams that may have been the most interested may have gone in different directions for their QB plans.
So yes, I think his market value and trade power has gone down and that it's not wise to assume that what they got yesterday is the best they could have got during the offseason.

This is silly.
