He played like a bad mofo last week so yeah ,if he plays that way again he deserves the moniker.

I prefer to call him bad-a-mofo

LOL... Hopefully, against Julio Jones, he will be...

...Badenov. :)

Even in frustrating times, such as the beginning of this season, I am amazed by BB. This guy just keeps finding players that contribute. The board is all up in arms re : "another STer?" But some of them end up being much more. It's too early to tell, but if B can be even decent at CB, it'd be a revelation.

It'd be interesting to compare NE's TC & in-season pickups vs Cleveland first rounders during the BB era. Pretty confident BB would have more to show...

If Bademosi comes on and Gilmore does not......how the hell do you then rate B.B. the GM?

I guess as an amazing low-risk/high-reward finder of undervalued talent, who very very occasionally is awestruck and inclined to overpay for star-level guys he assumes he can conform to system (see A Thomas, Ochocinco, Haynesworth, Pot Roast, perhaps Gilmore though far too early). Way more hits than misses when looking at overall big picture obviously, though it’s easy to focus on some misses that seem to undermine otherwise quality teams. How 2017 fits into that is a story yet to be told. Not a single one amongst us would rate the NE secondary as a weakness, much less a fatal flaw of histoically bad proportions, going into this season based on the demonstrated talent and production of the DBs. Gilmore in new system aside, he’s got skills, there were zero unknowns. It’s baffling. Curious to see what Bademosi looks like this week, he’ll have to play well.

So, to show that Belichick is a great evaluator of talent, you want us to compare him to Cleveland?

I chose an extreme example for fun. Obviously, I mean that - in general - I find that players such as Ayers, Branch... can and have been found in the past after the beginning of camp and throughout the season. And, in some cases, these players are key contributors to championship season. Other teams seem to struggle to find impact players (or players that are even decent) even though they pick at or near the top of the draft year after year.

Maybe you disagree. Perhaps you think that BB is a poor evaluator of talent and that his record is miserable. Perhaps you actually think I was using Cleveland's losing ways to compare with BB's wizardry and that you object to that. Or, thirdly, perhaps you understood the overall assessment I was sharing and just wanted to be difficult.

Sometimes a guy just needs someone to give him a chance to prove himself. He was an undrafted fa, do you guys have any idea how many teams will not let UFAs play prime positions because they have invested in higher picks for those positions. We got woodhead from the jets because they had higher drafted rbs even though they were less skilled:

I prefer to call him a special teamer masquerading as a cornerback who hopefully plays well Sunday night:(
He played 450 snaps at corner in 2015-2016 so once again you are spewing.

Kyle Arrington comes to mind as an undrafted special team guy who worked his way into a large role at corner.

Don't get to excited about this guy. He had to play in a game or 2 last year for the Lions. He couldn't cover your grandmothers. And if he got close enough he would get flagged for defensive holding or interference.

We have butler as our top corner. I don't think a lot of teams would let a undrafted rookie come in for the final play of the Super Bowl.
Right I was speaking more to bademosi like Arrington being in the league due to special teams.

You can bet your sweet bippies that Ryan will look for Badmostly & Jonny Jones early & often, unlike the incompetent J-E-T-E "brain trust."

started 3 games his entire career prior to becoming one of bills beloved versatile special teamers
Lets break down this post.
The claim is he is a special team only player thrown in at corner. This is false. He played almost 500 snaps at corner in the last 2 seasons.
Last year he played 283 snaps at corner. Danny Amendola played 266 at WR. Is Amendola just a special teamer?

Then you end with an apparent shot at Belichick for valuing special teamers.

Really solid effort by you here.

My advice to you is read more, listen and learn, and post less.
