NFL Week 4 Games

Pretty sure the Jets are about to win because they committed unsportsmanlike conduct against a Jaguar and the idiot refs somehow flagged the afflicted Jag for it instead of the Jet.
Refs still working on the 2016 NFL league offices memo to assist New York teams.

Didn't read the tanking memo.

At least make this ****ty day better with an 0-4 Giants, that will put a smile on my face.

In related Jetes news, Kony Ealy got 4 PDs today, including 1 INT.

Denver is a better team than the Patriots.

Lions 14, Vikings 7 -- Final
- Vikings D: sacked Stafford six times
- Vikings: lost three fumbles
- RB Dalvin Cook left on a non-contact injury; may have torn ACL. Former Patriot Tavon Wilson put his shoulder on the ball, forcing a fumble. Cook stayed on the ground, writhing in pain.

Detroit Lions' defense key in smothering Minnesota Vikings, 14-7

All hail, the Detroit Lions defense.

They made huge tackles and got huge sacks. They swatted the ball down, over and over. And they punched the ball loose, at the most critical time, preserving a 14-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

All hail that defense.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Vikings had a chance to tie the game up.

But here came Anthony Zettel, running free. Totally unblocked.

He sacked quarterback Case Keenum, burying him to the ground. Now, the Vikings had one last chance. It was fourth and goal but Keenum couldn’t find anybody. He threw it out of the back of the end zone.

Stopped and smothered.

The Vikings would get the ball back one more time, but there was Glover Quin, who punched the ball away from Adam Thielen after he made the catch.

Game over.

Detroit Lions 14, Minnesota Vikings 7: Everything Is Awful

Thanks to three turnovers, two of which led to 11 unanswered points for the opposition, the Vikings fell to their NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions, by a final score of 14-7.

Denver is a better team than the Patriots.

Absolutely. They've also beaten Oakland ( Assuming they hang on), Cowboys, Philip Rivers. Patriots are a TB miracle away from possibly being 1-3.

Buffalo isn't going away either. They are going to be an issue. The upcoming schedule is brutal. If they can win 4 of the next five ( Possibly losing to Atl or TB), I'd consider it miraculous.

Jets 23, Jaguars 20 -- Final, OT
Bortles: 15-40, 140 yards, 4.0 yards per attempt, 1 TD, 1 INT
Jets: 32 carries for 256 yards, 256 yards, 2 TD, 8.0 yards per carry

Jets have no idea how to tank, and it’s fascinating to watch

The 4 dumbest things in the Jets’ 23-20 overtime win over the Jaguars

All New York had to do was hand the ball off and it looked like Jacksonville had nothing left in the tank. Blake Bortles sure as hell wasn’t going to lead them back.

But a lateral by McCown was scooped up by Myles Jack for a 81-yard fumble recovery touchdown and an interception in the final minutes put the Jaguars on the doorstep of a game-winning touchdown.

Jaguars lose to New York Jets in overtime, 23-20

The Jaguars got possession first in overtime and made one first down (on a penalty) before punting. The Jets went three-and-out and Lachlan Edwards’ lousy punt set the Jaguars up at the midfield. On third-and-3 from the Jets’ 43, Marqise Lee dropped Bortles’ throw that would have gone for a first down and perhaps put the Jaguars in position for the winning field goal.

New York punted on its second drive and the Jaguars started at their 3-yard line and they went three-and-out. On the punt, Jeremy Kerley returned it seven yards, but Paul Posluszny was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct, giving the Jets a starting spot of the Jaguars’ 25.

The Jaguars rallied from a 20-10 fourth-quarter deficit, but should have won it in the final minute of regulation. Following A.J. Bouye’s interception, the Jaguars had possession at the Jets’ 35 and trailed by three points.

Fournette gained nine and three yards (to the Jets’ 23) before the two-minute warning. On the next play, Fournette turned a screen pass into what appeared to be a 23-yard touchdown. But as he threw the football into the stands, receiver Arrelious Benn was called for holding near the goal-line....

Steelers 26, Ravens 9 -- Final
- Flacco: 31-49, 235 yards, 4.8 yards per pass, 4 sacks, 1 TD, 2 Picks
- Le'Veon Bell: 186 yards from scrimmage
- Turnovers: Ravens 3, Steelers 1

I saw the INT, didn't realize about the rest of his game today.

As of this moment I don't know how to react...

Last year teams could run on Denver. This year, they look stout

49ers might be 0-3, better than people think though

So I guess when Rivers said he'd refuse to play in LA, what he meant was that he would refuse to play [well] in LA.

Watching denvers D...I'm so jealous. There secondary is like white on rice, there D line is in the QBs face all the time, there linebackers are fast and athletic....How do they do it?

Thursday is going to be a debacle if the secondary keeps busting coverage.

The sky will be pretty dark if the sun never comes up.

You keep drinking that Kool Aid, the defense blows, it's historically bad right now.

You keep drinking that Kool Aid, the defense blows, it's historically bad right now.

Thats the problem when trying to have a discussion with reading comprehension challenged people like you. Nobody is disputing that the defense is bad right now. What people are saying is that based on how the last 6-7 years have gone they have faith that as always that unit will be improve to be good enough for another post season run.

But you and many others keep making those strawman arguments as if there is someone who was happy with todays performance.
