Here is my version of Who's HOT and Who's NOT:

Who's HOT:

The Pats O-LINE in Pass protection - I don't think that the Jets even really pressured Brady all game. He had an eternity back there every time he dropped back.

Brady: Brady was throwing the ball very well. With precision and zip. Best throwing I've seen him do in over a year.

MOSS: All I can say is WOW. 187 yards receiving. And he made it look effortless.

Jarvis Green : Great filling in for Seymour. He looked very solid against the run.

Honorable Mentions:
Sammy Morris - Had some very good runs
Wes Welker - Showed WHY the Pats got him. Had 1 bad drop though.
Corey Mays and Kelley Washington - I have been critical of BOTH up until now. I need to add that they both played VERY well on kick and punt coverage today.

Who's NOT:
Its hard to find something that didn't go well today, but there were a few.

Punt Return Team: The Pats really miss Mike Wright on this team. I was again disappointed at how, more often than not, the opposing team have 5 or 6 guys around our returner before he'd even caught the ball.

Matt Cassel : Fumble a perfect snap, leading to a missed field goal. He didn't see the field the rest of the game.

Worth Noting:
Donte Stallworth - the forgotten man on the offense. He had 1 reception for 19 yards.

Laurence Maroney - Had 20 rushes for 72 yards. He could have had a lot more but he missed a cut back to left late in the game that could have been broken for a LOT of yardage.. He's still a work in progress as is the run blocking.

Who's not?

Well, we were the only team in the NFL to change holders in their first game.

It would be nice if we could defend against a short passing game. Otherwise ...

HOT
OL - pass blocking was unbelievable..i thought Brady would get killed after watching preseason but they proved me wrong

Brady - obviously

Moss - great job today. no drops

DL - they did well without Seymour..i thought Wilfork got held plenty of times. Green filled in very well and had a great game. Warren a little quiet but the run stopping was great so no worries. i'll say front 7 was hot actually. besides Colvin's little confusion at 1 point during the TD, it was fine. thomas played great..nearly had 2 picks. if he has anything to work on its his hands

Watson - 2 diving catches..nice and a TD.

KR- i wont single out Hobbs..good blocking. no1 gave up even though Hobbs was in a spot where he shouldnt have taken it

WHOS NOT
OL run blocking - inconsistent..had great blocking a few times but we couldnt get it done after that.

Cassell - u cant botch a snap. CANNOT

In between
Welker - he had 2 drops..1 where he slipped. he did well but he has to catch those. hes a borderline.

pass defense - i wasnt happy with the completion % by Jets. yes the yards didnt rack up but Samuel didnt seem to stand out. Hobbs and Wilson gave up some passes

Was going to mention Maroney myself. I love the kid, but as has been said by many on here before, he needs to stop dancing behind the line, it happened far too many times. morris showed him how it was done.

Still, a 20 carry game, over 3 ypc averaged. He'll get better.

Who's not - Cassel:

It makes sense for the holder to be someone other than the backup quarterback. Then if the backup has to play, you don't need him out there when he has so much more responsibility running the offense. Just ask Dallas.
