Looks like we're going to get healthy doses of Cooks, Amendola, Hogan, and Dorsett today.

I wonder if the Patriots were able to make a corresponding move with Mitchell going to the IR.

EDIT: Just saw that they promoted Ted Karras to the Roster.

Looks like Slater is out. Will be expecting big things from Bademosi, J. Jones, and Brandon King to pick up the slack.

These would be the inactives then (supposing Ebner is good & no more shockers):

Valentine, Slater, Fleming, A.Butler, Hollister, Croston, Langi

Thankfully I don't have to watch Connor McDermott play football anymore. This week I almost scheduled an appointment with a cardiopulmonary specialist after having to sit through 3 hours of watching him last week. The bills problem now.

As for tonight? I'm not too worried

It's going to be interesting to see what they do when you consider that they don't have a lot of depth at DT if you take out Valentine and Butler or at LB. I also would find it strange not to have the 3TE there with Fleming out. Waddle hasn't shown he can be that 3rd OT/TE generally speaking..

I don't foresee the Pats choosing Richards over Hollister. Not with the addition of Bademosi.

Anyone notice something funny about the scoreboard?

I think you mean the MiniBoard above the Pats LockerRoom Entrance..

Do you think he was worse than the trumbone playong guard whos name escapes me? BTW nice triple bypass burger.

I went from overconfident about this game when we had Edelman to now terrified after reading that Mitchell is now also on IR. Seriously, I thought we weren't going to have to rely on Amendola too much, but now we might have no choice. Panic mode: On lol.

I hope '28-3' isn't on the 5th banner. Luxurious problem to have, I guess, but it's a bit gimmicky to plaster everywhere at this point.

A few articles from Topeka Kansas to pass the time until kickoff:

Kevin Haskin: Veteran characteristics could help or hurt Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs will win the Super Bowl.

At least that will be what some predict if the Chiefs open the 2017 season by beating the powerhouse Patriots in New England.

House money is what the Chiefs will be playing with on Thursday against the reigning NFL champions, ageless Tom Brady and ruthless Bill Belichick.

Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt looking ‘to step up’ against Patriots

In the preseason, Hunt rushed 18 times for 79 yards and caught four passes for 32 yards. At Toledo, Hunt finished his career as the program’s all-time leading rusher with 4,945 yards. He also scored 44 touchdowns on the ground and added 73 catches for 555 yards and one touchdown receiving.

VIDEO: Chiefs set for clash with Patriots in season opener

In the postseason matchup in 2016, the Chiefs actually outgained the Patriots in total offense 378 to 340 and won the time of possession 37:51 to 22:09. But those statistics matter little to Reid.

“The end result was we lost,” Reid said. “So it doesn’t matter time of possession and all that. You got to come out on the right end of the stick.”

The Chiefs might have a better chance of doing that Thursday as they seemingly have more playmakers on offense now. Even so, season openers can be a mixed bag. Last year, the Chiefs trailed the Chargers 24-3 at home in the third quarter before Smith rallied the team to a 33-27 win in overtime.

Go Pats !!!
