Compartmentalize.

Right in front of you now - 2016 Super Bowl Champions.

Right in front of you tomorrow - 2017 New England Patriots.

We're on to Kansas City.

I think I blame Gronk for 2014, he's just so chill and goofy that it kinda makes it an "up" tone throughout the episode where it's just non stop joy and good stuff. This episode kinda felt the same way between Blount and Edelman. I think if it had been High, maybe Nink and Solder or something it'd be a little more serious but I liked it anyway

To me, Hightower was the lone snoozer on this America's Game. Jules and LG completely ate up the scenery (a showbiz complinent).

We already got serious with DYJ II.

I actually liked this America's Game far better than I expected...and it REALLY made me sad that Blount isn't around anymore.

How great has that guy become as a leader and pro from where he had been just a few years ago? I agree with that sideline Chaplain.

Did anyone else notice the play in America's Game that Blount pointed out, where Brady was out in front of him trying to play the role of lead blocker? Blount said he put his hand on Brady's back to guide him through traffic, and mentioned that he thought Brady emerged unscathed because of the respect opponents showed him. The replay certainly looks like some of the defenders seemed to go out of their way to avoid Brady but that may just have been that they were more concerned with trying to get to Blount to tackle him. Anybody else see it and have an opinion?

Not really - - if I recall that game thread, we were all agog at how a professional team was giving an active player a little league pass in a real game. Very appreciative, but it was exceptional. They very actively avoided Brady.

I thought the Top 10 show pretty much sucked. I mean, it was nice to watch TB12, but it was full of so much tacky NFL porn and idiot commentary.

Those NFLN Top-10 shows are always like that. Popcorn time for NFLN. It's a separate series and just them trying to broaden their demographic for spouses, etc. So this wasn't any surprise.

.

Too much jokes and jokey in general. Instead of the epic music, the slow motion shots of plays from new angles, and generally sombre, serious tone of past America's Game episodes which made it feel like an important occasion. These guys just seem to be goofing around through the whole show. Julian trying to improvise jokes that are not working and he's admitting he didn't know where he's going with them. Blount, who sat on the sidelines in the Superbowl, commenting about remember the exact comments he made sitting on the sidelines ............. like who cares.

I wish they had made a more serious version. And included Brady, and Patricia or McDaniels, or BB, or Bennett although Bennett would be goofing as well but atleast he was more relevant to the offense than Blount.

I mean we heard all season long, including at the podium from BB, about the toughness, resiliency, hard work, guts, of this team. This America's Game episode mentions none of this. They don't even bother mentioning Harmon rallying the troops etc, or how they physically outlasted the Falcons.

NFLN hit all 3 levels last night:

1) Protein - DYJ II
2) Side Dish - AG 2016
3) Dessert - Top-10 Brady Games

They know exactly what they are doing and in what order of presentation.

Yeah I think Hightower should have been replaced with a coach. My pick would have been Bill or Matty P. Edelman and Blount were awesome. As I said earlier in the thread, I'm up for any excuse to hear some Edelman trash talk.

"I'm here."
"The fact that you gotta talk about it means you're not."

For us, perhaps. For the Pats' national brand, this was perfect. Make them more lovable. Not what we want the team admired for, but we aren't the primary audience for this.

That one is the classic to end all classics.

Edelman has the mic drop at that moment.

My god people are spoiled here. They made a film celebrating a Super Bowl win but we get nit picking complaint after complaint. It's kind of funny.
The greatest troll we can inflict on other franchises is to sincerely complain about stuff like America's Game compared to previous editions. Imagine the despair a Bills fan would experience upon stumbling upon this thread.

See ball get ball was the best line from the whole show!

He was the star last night for sure.

"It's funny to listen to these. I've never seen these. No, I don't watch this ****."

Lol

Im having a bunch of Redskins fans friends down here over for the game tonight. I'll be *****in' and moaning how the 5th banner throws off all the symmetry......

You really cried over those? Jesus. They (and '01) were superior episodes. But these haven't been bad, either.
I mean define cry. I got teary eyed for em, especially with Rodney and Bruschi talking. I didn't bawl my eyes out and need tissues for snot and tears. On the other hand these last two illicited no emotion from me

I'm not one to talk, I guess. I actually cried a little after Super Bowl XLII.

The last one got to me a little, when I had to wake up my wife and tell her they'd won.
