Hackenberg looks terrible. Petty plays well and almost brings them back from a big deficit. Granted it's preseason and it's scrubs on scrubs. But Petty injures his knee and may be out the season.

I predicted that the Jets would have at least four different players play QB this year. I don't think we can count Petty if he doesn't even make the season.

Serious question for Jetsfan. If you could just forfeit the entire season and spend the year scrimmaging with the opposing teams on the schedule, would you do that? Probably be safer for the young players.

No, I'd still want to play the games.

1. There is the very remote chance Hack or Petty get rolling and then there's no need to spend an early pick on a QB next year.
2. Scrimmages won't replace real game experience, and this year is one hell of a prep for the young kids. I can already see improvement from the young/rookie Safeties/LBs/WRs. Looking forward to seeing who steps up and takes advantage of the situation.
3. Tailgating is still awesome regardless. Don't get that with scrimmages.
