You keep 6.If Carr looks like he could be another Edelman, and you are only keeping 5 WRs, tell me what do you do?

As stated. its not how he looks, its how he will perform under the brightest lights in the most important situations. Time and Time again DA has come though over and over with crucial plays during the highest stakes. You cant teach that, you cant SHOW that in camp.
Its ice in the veins. DA has lived up to number 80 IMO. And he is done it about as unselfishly as possible (pay cuts)
I cant think of anything more complimentary to DA then to compare him to Troy Brown who is think its the best all around football player the patriots ever had and certainly up there in clutchness.
Speaking of typos...
Whack him in the knee and tell him to come back next year.
I hear you, Digital. I am still taking a more tempered approach with him because he's always been able to flash elite ability. What his problem has been, and what I've heard reported a bit so far in Spring and so far in TC, is that he has shown some inconsistency. I'll chalk that up to being on a new team and still getting acclimated. But as you've said, THIS is also I want to see more of from him. He got a big payday and I doubt BB would have done that unless he saw something on tape or believes he can bring out the remaining potential in Gilmore's game. Now THIS is what I wanted to see from Gilmore. I am loving this. If he can give Brady/Cooks a hard time he can stick with pretty much any QB/WR combo. If Gilmore comes here and plays up to his contract.... Well that is it. Game over NFL.
The Ninko retirement talk is gaining traction. I'm hearing it now on the radio. Oh boy. Depth and production was already a concern . . .
There's been nothing specific in terms of why he's been out, but the speculation that he could be mulling retirement was being talked about again on 98.5. I know it's all speculation, so I'm by no means saying this is what I believe will happen. However, some in the media have a growing concern that this could be what is keeping him away so far.Hearing what exactly? Speculation about it or that it's actually happening?
Let's hope he isn't. We could use him, even if he isn't as effective as yesteryear. His leadership alone is worth having him on the 2017 roster.Remember the saying (was it BB?) - "if you are thinking about retirement, you already have".
No such thing as enough leaders.Flowers is ready to be a leader
