Maclin's decision: Balt or Buff

Overall lack of major interest from a league that always loves to overpay WRs. Must be a really big issue with him that has teams scared off.

Or the fact he was let go after free agency and the draft he has limited options.
I'm shocked La Rams haven't gone after him.

Guess it's good to have choices...He'll still be making more than me next year.

Injuries have taken their toll on Macklin...jump ball Joe and Baltimore better choice.

Retirement

Agree he goes with Jump ball Joe
Prediction Ravens lead the lead in calls of defensive pass interference agaisnt their offense.

It may just be that he narrowed down his choices very, very quickly. Based on the sequence of events, I wouldn't be surprised. Seems like there was interest between him and both teams that was both strong and mutual. No need to waste time with the others if you know you're going to one of 2 places.

BAL makes sense as the O is based on the Andy Reid offense as Marty Morhenwig is the OC

It's official he just signed with Baltimore. So with Wallace, Perriman, and Maclin they have speed to burn. So I guess we should see a return to the Joe Flacco "heave it and hope:" offense.

To be fair, they did win a super bowl like this

If they were just good enough to get into the playoffs, Playoff Flacco would have a field day with his receivers. Unfortunately, Regular Season Flacco isn't good enough to overcome an aging defense, no running game, and a mediocre o-line that won't consistently give him time to throw down the field consistently.

Supposedly, they're still in the running for Decker, as well. Maybe they can hand the Steelers a loss or two.

While I agree, it's possible that a 9-7 record can sneak them in a WC spot. Doubtful, but possible. Either way, I'm not going to think twice about it unless it happens and we end up meeting them.

I dislike both teams, but this is a no-brainer unless Buffalo is throwing the vault at him. Go to a team with a QB that loves to throw the long ball and actually has a shot at the playoffs or go to the Tundra and play for a team that is fighting for 3rd place with the Jets. Hmmmm.....

No sooner do I post this and he indeed signs with the Ravens. No brainer in my opinion.

To think, there was only one other team that didn't want to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender...

Jeremy Maclin just transformed the Ravens into legit Super Bowl contenders

And if the Ravens want to deploy Maclin on the outside, where he’s at his best and most dangerous, they could also put free agent pick-up Danny Woodhead in the slot and throw out an extra tight end, creating even more problems for the defense.

How do you defend that?

the guy just ran out of gas, he would have won if he was in any sort of condition.

counter point

he would have gotten destroyed if not for the 200 meter head start.
