Hawkins, if he replaces anybody, should've replaced DeAndrew White, who has no chance whatsoever for a future here, instead of Devin Street, who at least has the talent to compete.

Street cleared waivers. It's possible that BB thought that White would not. Street could be back as soon as June 2nd.

I wonder if he can return punts/kickoffs. given Edelmans age/injury history you dont want him doing it. same with Amendola. and Cyrus was a disaster last year. and early reports out of OTA's are he is still muffing returns.

Hawkins has never returned punts. Why wouldn't you want your #5 WR to return puts? Amendola wouldn't be on the team if he wasn't expected to return punts.
