it;s easy actually. Jimmy has one year left. The other QBs have 4 to 5 years on their rookie deals. The value difference is immense, in the rookies favor.

It does raise the practical question of how to negotiate both a trade and a long term extension in 10 minutes, as nobody trades away the ranch for 1 or 2 years of control over player. It's possible something could happen overnight but I don't know who with at this point.
