Gotta Luv BB givin RG* & NFL Owners* a Royal Fuggin with onslaught of signings.

As for Bills Org and their fans always dissin Pats with clASSless props, We'll just pick apart your team and make them studs.

This is almost spooky ... could be the best off-season in the history of organized sports. Fans of other teams will be flying off bridges across America.

"We are building a team, not collecting talent"....

This is great news, I was really hoping they could get this done, I just didn't expect it given the deals free agents have been getting.

This is excellent news! To me, it suggests that BB and the coaches see further upside and improvement from James White going forward. It probably doesn't hurt to have a great performance on the world's biggest stage either!

Coachable, dependable, durable and clutch.

It also seems that he is super popular with his teammates. It would not surprise me to see him selected as a captain in a couple of years.

I absolutely love this signing!

This is the only appropriate way to say his name now.

Jammies Whitey?

And his SB heroics notwithstanding, I sure hope that Bill didn't sign him for Burkhead/Gillislee money (though I wouldn't have given either of those 2 guys $3.15M/year either), or even Sugar Shane Vereen money.

Me too. When it was do or die, he did. We need more players like that. Also glad Butler is back for the same reason, I hope we keep him, guy is worth more than the sum of his parts.

Lewis is signed pretty cheap isn't he? Why just give him away? It sucked when Brandon Bolden became the recieveing back when Vereen got hurt in 2013.

You're ignoring the fact that Burkhead can catch the ball out of the backfield. He just wasn't given much of a chance with Cincy..

My dream NOLA/Pats Trade

Butler, Chung, and Lewis for

The 32nd pick, and Kenny Vaccaro.

We all know the reasons for the Butler for 32nd pick.

But I think Vaccaro would do amazing things in this secondary. Just as good, and at times, much better then Chung playing against the line, but he is one of the best SS in the NFL in the slot ( he can cover just about anyone). At only 26, he's playing on his 5th year option and next year NO will still be somewhat strapped for cash next season, and extending him will only work against them. Chung is signed for a good price next year, and they cost almost the same this year. Them trading for Chung (in theory) wouldn't be much of a steep down (they both seem to have up and down years, and him and Chung graded out equally last season) Plus they get lewis.

To me that would be a dream come true

You've undervalued Butler and, as a result, are giving away Chung and Lewis in the deal.

The Pats are asking for 32 and 42 for Butler..By your own statements, Vaccaro isn't that much of an upgrade over Chung.

Brother Manx, this is BB we are talking about. What others consider a foregone conclusion piques BB's curiosity for drafting.

Not when it comes to hitting women. That's something that Bob Kraft won't tolerate.. Mixon's not on their board..

That's why you're some schmuck on a Patriots Chat Board and BB is a 7 time SB Champion. I've found that when you don't like something that it's typically great for the Patriots..

You were one of the loudest voices against the picks of Ryan and Harmon. How's that worked out for the Pats?

It's great to know that you are one of those insiders that knows exactly when extension talks are happening and how there are no other bidders even though that would be tampering but who cares.

Sorry but what you are writing is shortsighted. This is not Madden, it takes both sides to agree to make an early extension happen and if the player is not interested in your offer it won't happen. And the Pats have shown they are not getting into a dance with players about early extensions. They have their number and that's what you will get - take it or leave it. Sometimes the player takes it (e.g. Cannon or White) and will be playing on a team friendly deal, other times players take the risk and play the last season out (e.g. DMac).

It's ridiculous to blame the team on not extending someone early when it's not entirely in their hands especially in cases where the player has gone through multiple injuries.

Yes, and there's the obvious disconnect that White is not signing when his value is low, either. The comparison is really a non-starter.

Good to see Mr. White returning.

I totally hear what you're saying, but I think we just have to accept that with the way the cap is going up, contracts are going to undergo "inflation." Look more at the percentages of the cap rather than the raw money.

Not a bad deal, but more than we normally pay to a running back.

I was expecting 3/$10, not shocking but a bit more than I expected.

That's a bad contract for a receiving only RB and completely unlike the Pats model of value.

11 M per year in RBs? What the?

Count me in with the crowd that is surprised by this signing............and it has nothing to do with whether or not he is deserving of the contract.

It has everything to do with BB historically treating this position of receiving RB as a dime a dozen. He's obviously had his share of success in filling this role between Faulk, Woodhead, Vereen, Lewis, and White.

I think the 2013 Denver offseason or whichever one it was where they got TJ Ward, Demarcus Ware and I want to say Emmanuel Sanders was probably better in terms of wow signings that, sadly, eventually paid off.
