Linebackers, who else besides Donta ?

I love the idea of signing Devin Taylor. If he hasn't signed somewhere by now, then
he should come fairly cheaply. I would also take a chance on his former teammate DeAndre Levy, whose signing would not change our compensatory status.

Not as big a fan of trading for Mychal kendricks, however. We simply don't have enough draft picks as it is, especially after Bill threw away our 1st-rounder on Terry Glenn part 2. Now if Bill had just done the smart thing and drafted Tyler Lockett instead of the absolutely useless Jordan Richards, then we would still have #32 with the ability to add more picks by trading down.

In the past 2 seasons, Cooks has put up a combination of catches, yards and TDs bested only by OBJ and Antonio Brown. And Tyler Locket is your replacement for that?

Like I said, he's a complete moron if he actually believed that post.

It’s awful tempting to trade Jimmy G to CLV for their 12th pick. They could pick up a stud lb there...I’m not saying I’m in favor of trading JG, but man they would be stacked for 2017 if they did.

The roster seems pretty well stacked already. Even without a 1st and 2nd, given the depth of this draft at DE, LB, CB, Safety, RB and TE, it would take some serious effort to come out of draft weekend without having strengthened the team even further.

Especially since the Browns and the Jets will likely do their usual fine job at drafting most of the busts.

I have to think that with a full offseason, he will be a better player for us next season.

With Hightower back and freney healthy, I am thinking McClellin might not even make our squad.
It seems he was benched at different points of the season, including the SB. He did get more involved in the D, particularly after the Collins trade, but he was never anything special aside from a few plays, including two blocked kicks. Van Noy was more consistently impressive for sure.

Both our #2 and #3 linebackers will make the squad. We have no reason to chose between Van Noy and McClellan with regard to the roster.

Freeny is a fine #5 LB and special teamer.

In the past, we have carried 5, 6 or 7 linebackers. There is plenty of room for veteran or draft choice.

I'm not the one who said McClellin wouldn't make the team, nor was I implying that. The point I made was he was not consistently impressive and I stand by it.
