So Donta, Roberts , Shea , Van Noy, Freeny ......any good FA's or maybe a few drafted LB's ? Any ideas ?

Probably no one all that great. Might just go with what they had last year and hope Roberts steps up.

Patriots rarely use more then 2 LBs so why all that focus on it ?

really hope Roberts makes a big jump next year. Wouldn't mind if we drafted another LB. Doesn't seem like a lot of good FAs out there

Really not much of anything besides players who will occasionally have a good game behind Hightower. I was afraid to post it before he signed (and would have been afraid to say it if he left) but without him, the LB group may be bottom 10.

That being said, Van Noy and Roberts had their moments.

Van Noy and Roberts will probably get better with a year under their belt and in the case of van Noy a full Training Camp. I actually thought Van Noy was good in coverage last year and Roberts is a battering ram. But we are probably gonna draft a guy this year in the 3rd/4th round. You can never have too much depth.

High and Zach Brown.

Zach has come a long way since MIA. Decent in coverage. Decent blitzer. Good tackler.

Could a nice addition. And comes from our feeder club aka the Bills.

FWIW, there's also Trevor Bates from the PS:

6010/245 ... 4.78/40, 1.57 10yd ... 18 reps ... 33.5 vert ... 118 broad
... 4.25 shuttle ... 6.75 3-cone

I don't want the fun to stop! Is there any more depth we can grab up cheap? can we sign Butler or get the Saints next 3 ones? How about Jimmy, can trade him? I need more!

I think Roberts might really fit the evolving model of what a linebacker will look like going forward. He's an intriguing prospect, I think.

A run stuffer who can't cover their grandmother?

I always need an LSU draft binky...Kendell Beckwith in round 6. He'll be healthy by then.

Roberts played well all year. The kid is a tackling machine. I have a feeling that BB sees a lot in him and you will see him get better every year. On a side note if he had not made that tackle on Freeman in the fourth quarter he might have gone all the way. True hustle on Roberts part.
