I'm concerned JE could go down the same path if he continues absorbing some of the big hits he's taken. Welker's history of concussions caught up with him and not that I'm saying Minitron is in the same boat but he's taken some bloody big hits for this team.
Day Two: We need Hightower and Butler resolved. I hope we extend both.
Then comes the smaller contracts:
I would love to sign Odrick who has great versatility on the D/L either as a Tackle or End and you know BB and MP will use him to the best of his abilities and mix it up.
One year prove it deal for Connor Barwin where he might not start but where he can find a niche and set himself up for a bigger contract next season.
Sign a savvy veteran who will play hard to get that championship ring. Choose a DE from Dumervil or Peppers. I imagine DeMarcus Ware is going to be too expensive.
Matthews put up good numbers with mediocre QB's would hate to see what he could do with Brady.
If building a potentially Elite Denver type Secondary means not having Brandin Cooks I am all for it. Also the Pats have Michael Floyd in their back pockets but they have to play it like he's getting atleat 4 Games he can't help us in those.
those may be the only 3 guys I would take barwin over. Unless we count guys who are officially retired.I don't want Barwin, he isn't that good. I'd take Dumervil or Peppers or even Mario Williams.

I guess we should resign young underrated Sheard to a big deal and get another whole 2 sacks out of himOverpayed, old and overrated. Maybe we could get a something close to Long out of Peppers.
He lives in Ft. Lauderdale and drove to Dolphins stadium to visitFree trip to Miami though..

Don't remember anyone here saying anything about Sheard so no clue why you are trying to straw man yourself out of your original statement.
I'd be more interested what you see in Mario Williams because he has been looking like 2016 Sheard for a while now.. just with premium pay.
Wouldn't Sheard be the one to decide if he would like to resign? Can you even resign as a free agent? That'd be retirement, no? LolI guess we should resign young underrated Sheard to a big deal and get another whole 2 sacks out of him
Why do they have to play it like he's getting at least 4 games? The league already has a policy on Alcohol related offenses and Floyd is a 1st time offender.. Not to mention that Goodell set the standard when he only gave Sheldon Richardson a 1 game suspension for driving 140 mph with weed and a child in the car.. Far more egregious than being stopped at a stop light out cold..
I guess it also gives credence to the notion that teams life to sign Patriots castoffs.Mingo will keep riding his "potential" to at least one more contract after also the Colts realize that his body just can't maintain an NFL physique. Amazing. Got paid even after just being a ST player here.

No, they're just being themselves.Well, the Browns just traded their 2017 4th-round comp pick to the Texans for Osweiler, a 2018 2nd-round pick and a 2017 6th round pick.
Essentially, the Browns spent $16M to acquire two draft picks.
They're high on something.

The poster you're replying to has no clue about football. He'll gush over anyone with a big name, even if they're no longer the player they used to be. According to his posts from last season, the vast majority of the players on the roster of the 2016 SB champs were scrubs.
