So, basically, Payton wants to find someone to swindle. Not going to be Belichick.

I would think that we should be satisfied for now with Edelman, Hogan and Mitchell, Gronk and Allen at tight ends and two of the better receiving backs in the league in White and Lewis. Not everyone is going to get the ball, especially someone who thinks they are a No. 1 in Cooks.
I think BB and Payton need to have a gentlemans drink
What happened to the old New england Patriots. The ones who paid their own players when they did everything right and improve each season.
Sorry, but your eyes/brain don't know what they are talking about.
Butler - 50 receptions allowed on 90 targets. 12 Passes Deflected. 4 interceptions. 4 TDs allowed.
That's amongst the tops in the league..

I don't think WR is an actual area of need right now. Getting better is always nice, but do you really see BB trading Butler, a first, and another pick for a WR who's not Julio?Who says Cooks isn't needed? Julian isn't getting younger, Amendola's future is murky. Cooks can be our future standout in the receiving core. He'd be damn good here.

So you hurt Mitchell's development by taking him off the field in favor of Cooks? Mitchell is the best rookie WR the Pats have had during the Brady era. Considering the confidence that Brady has in him, it would be folly to take him off the field. You're not taking Edelman off the field because Edelman is your #1 receiver. And you're not switching to a 3WR base because you just got Allen to pair with Gronk.
So, the only logical thing that happens is that Mitchell gets his playing time cut.. Which makes no sense at all.
I didn't say he wasn't good.
My eyes work fine. Too many times was he chasing down a receiver.
Funny, I would say Butler is worth more than Cooks. But Peyton may not be thinking Butler level quality.

No. Your eyes don't work fine.. Either that or your expectations are whack because there weren't that many times he was "chasing down a receiver"..
From the tweet saying that Payton would want a good defender and multiple picks for Cooks.I do.......Edelman is beat up.......he will diminish the same way welker did
not sure where you are getting your parameters for the trade
latest I hear was cooks + 2nd for butler + 1st
