Once again, that's why it happens all the time. Teams are always giving up their first round picks and top of the market money for RFA's. It must have happened five times just last year alone.
Its not that it happens all the time, it is because there are so few lockdown corners that enter are tendered. Most lockdown corners get contract extensions before hitting RFA. It is rare. Think about the number of corners that you would put in Butler's league that have become RFAs. I cannot think of a single one.
Alternatively, how many first round cornerbacks become busts or just average corners in the league?
