But there's a better chance that they're still the Jets and therefore shall remain mediocre in this case.Always a little worried when they start to rebuild. There's always that odd chance that the stopped clock will be right this time and they'll blunder into some good moves.

Marshall - Depends
I wonder if that means they'll try to poach Belichick from the Patriots this time?Honestly, probably the smartest offseason they've had in a long time. They're going to be pitiful anyways, might as well save money.
I could see them start from the ground up, trying to mimic the patriots... Signing mid level free agents, handing a(n inferior) coach the reigns of the entire organization, and then inevitably tanking anyways.
I'm genuinely interested to know why you're so emphatically against Decker, Deus. He seems a better fit than Marshall.
That's appropriate... he might need a fresh set...
The only problem with that plan is Marvin Lewis has cornered the market on job security while being mostly mediocre... now that the Rams got rid of his closest competitor.Well mike we blow.
I know Todd. We are both going to get fired.
What are we going to do?
Save our asses of course!! We are going to cut every player with name recognition and everyone will think we lose because we are rebuilding. It will be 2-3 more years before they figure out we have no clue.
To me, it's a low risk, high reward type deal. We saw what he could do when not being asked to be the main guy in Denver. That's what got him the (overpaid) contract he got from the Jets. Sign him low and see if he can regain that form. He's a division rival who has had some big games against NE while healthy. That seems precisely like the kind of signing we've seen half a dozen times in NE.Isn't Decker turning 30, coming off two surgeries last year, and supposed to miss training camp this year due to recovery? Those are pretty compelling reasons not to sign him.
On the plus side, his wife is a total smokeshow.
Wow, she's insane!
I cannot see any reason not to sign Decker.
crazy drama when Edelman gets her pregnant though...Wow, she's insane!
They're going to be even worse this year and will be starting from nearly ground zero. It'll be at least three years before they're competititve and that's assuming they make good moves, including getting a good young quarterback which they currently don't have on their roster.Always a little worried when they start to rebuild. Eric Decker could join the exodus of Jets veterans
Added bonus for us... the biggest most incompetent rats in Florham Park are in either management... or ownership. And they're staying.
Decker's girl and Lima?! That's a love triangle I'd be happy to a part. Put me in, Coach. Lolcrazy drama when Edelman gets her pregnant though...
