Lol who the hell is this random Twitter account? Calling bs.

I'm sure Brissett is a nice guy and a great leader. I've seen no evidence he's a particular talented passer.

Well BB actions say he has a different opinion of Jacoby B, I think I'll believe BB and Parcells.

Yeah, ok. Believe Bill, who's said absolutely nothing and never would other than 'he's a good kid, he work's hard'.

Parcells lost the plot 15 years ago.

True, BB would never say anything but praise for a rookie who was working diligently.
However, obviously BB had discussions with Parcells and valued his input before spending a valuable draft pick on Bisquick.

I've always felt the decision to trade JG comes down to the following:
1. Do the Pats feel he is the absolute heir to TB12?
2. Is the trade offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (Hershel Walker, Ricky Williams)?
3. How confident are they that Brissett would not lose games for them in case TB12 had to miss time?

Having said that, I'd love to draft the next Jerod Mayo or Donta Hightower with a high first round pick!

I'm just glad when Tuna doesn't refer to a young talented kid as "she."
He must really like Jacoby.

The problem is the way the team is built, we aren't particularly well optimized for having a QB who only doesn't LOSE us games. This team is built around having a dominant presence in the quarterback position.

Not that the solution is to keep JG or anything, but if we do trade JG, we're trying to win with Brady. if we lose Brady, the goal is to DEVELOP whoever's behind him, not to win with them, be that JG, Brissett or someone else.

I think that's the big reason there's an instinctual reluctance to move on from Jimmy G. because we know that losing Brady this year or next will instantly kick the team out of a competitive mode, back into a development mode almost immediately, and could even force a partial rebuild. Jimmy G isn't just our best hope of life after Brady, he's our best hope of cutting that redevelopment phase as short as possible so that we can go back to the bit where we win a little quicker.

If we trade Jimmy G, then lose Brady before you're ready, the development phase is going to be years long because as it stands now whatever you think of Brissett, he's half-baked goods and won't be ready for some time, and whoever you bring in from the draft will be even more raw.
