It's a great idea, because there is nothing threatening, illegal, obscene, violent, etc. in the message. Goodell and his henchmen will have a heck of time trying to stop it.

You forget that Goodell's power is arbitrary, and is basically the definition of fascism. He doesn't need justification, legal or otherwise, to dole out punishment. That's why this ****ing assclown still has a job after handing out a 4 game suspension, taking away a 1st and 4th based on farcical suspicions that the air pressure of a football was tampered with, yet suspended Rice just two game even though the evidence that this coward literally struck a defenseless woman was incontrovertible, and beyond question. This is the definition of stupidity to an insane degree.

And that's why Kraft can't be seen to have any hand in this #clownout thing, and might even suppress it to protect himself and the franchise, should he ever get wind of it.

Consequently, I'd think it would be wholly up to the fans to surreptitiously carry this enterprise out, from funding, to distribution, to sneaking those shirts to fans entering the stadium.

Waiting to see what @Ian says, but I'd reckon we'd need to also come up with a strategy to hand shirts out to fans entering the stadium without security catching on.

It is not over until Pats Fans have an opportunity to put the "figurative soles" of their boots on the throat of Goodell and he apologizes profusely..

I don't want him to say he's sorry. That would be as empty of an apology that exists. I want him to be sorry that he ever f****d with our team.

As luck would have it I just came across a video that Fraudger made a while back. He looked good ...

Kraft is not subject to the CBA powers Goodell has over players.

If we need practice there is always draft day too.

That's a day when many eyes will be focused on the NFL*, and the Pats are not the only fan base with a grievance.

And remember, while the stolen draft picks negatively impacts the Pats, it hits the fans as hard, if not harder. Draft day is a day for fans of all NFL* teams to see what new toys your team chose so that we can start mentally revving up for the next season.

Bozo stole that from us.

Can you imagine opening night against the Falcons w/ Goodell in attendance 70,000 fans wearing the clown shirt?
OMG! Goodell will have to be there, LOL!
I will not be attending. Although, I would contribute if someone worked it out. Maybe a sticky on this forum for donations?

I bet there will be clowns at the next draft!

I doubt he has any rights that would actually be enforced in a court of law. It is already of dubious legality to use someone's likeness without their permission.

I bet that if someone made a copy of the image on t-shirts and Portnoy sued, Portnoy would lose because he can't claim a copyright on another individual's likeness without that individual's permission.

Any other lawyers in the house? It's not my area, but wouldn't Goodell be considered a "public figure", and so his likeness could be used for satire in this way?

He's not a public figure any more than Tom Brady is. He doesn't hold a public office.

If anything, he would be considered a celebrity and those laws apply.
