Not sure why experts say Tom Brady has nothing left to prove

Has any team ever had two dynasties? This would be nuts to do 3 in 4 again.

Bulls had a three peat from 91-93. Than another three peat from 96-98. Canadiens had various dynasties in hockey. Yankees of decades ago and maybe 96-2000 .

Can't think of football one. I'll give Brady two more great years. Obviously injuries always play a factor.

Maybe. I mean Big Ben, Peyton Manning, and Kurt Warner went to 3 a piece, and Manning/Ben might have gone to more without Brady in the way.

I could see Wilson one day playing in 5 since he's almost halfway there and Rodgers seems to blow every chance to go back.

But nobody will win 5 again, or hopefully 6 or 7 by the time Tom is done.

P Manning went to four.

Bulls 3 peats were close enough that I would call it one dynasty.

I don't consider the Celtics or the Lakers each having 2 separate dynasties.
Why not? Especially the Lakers. The Lakers had the 80s ( 80, 82, 85, 87, 88 - 5 titles) and the had the 2000s.. a 3 peat and a 4th and 5th repeat)

You make a great point about the Lakers. You've changed my mind. They were absolutely two dynasties

Now that the epic come back is out of the way, I want to blow out the Cowboys next year in the SB

Yes, quite true. We DO need a blowout win.

There's still the other cheek of Goodell that needs to be slapped by Brady.
If he wins a 6th, he should lay Goodell over his lap and give him a spanking. Hopefully Goodell doesn't moan because that would be awkward.

19-0 would be the crowning achievement. I can dream...

There is nothing left to prove. All he can do from here is add distance between him and everybody else.

Not to say he should stop. At this point you have to go for the double dynasties. There's also volume records, albeit of little value.

And then there's the challenge of age. Remember Brady owns a sports training and nutrition company. Every year he defies age will only further prove the value of his TB12 system. From doing research, only one other QB in NFL history has had a great year at 40+, and that was Favre in '09. Brady will be a little older than him next year so if he puts up another 100+ passer rating year he will be the oldest great performing QB of all time. Anything after that will be completely uncharted territory.

It'd be nice to beat the Giants in the Super Bowl to shut them up too.

Unless the league goes away from the salary cap and parity era, will any quarterback ever even play in five SBs again?

play in, no.

Get to? If jimmy stays next year, and then goes to another team with solid coaching he could potentially end up with 5 rings of his own.

I do not think Brady plays to prove anything (OK, except this year). He plays because he loves to play. Didn't he say two days ago that "if I know that I can perform at a high level, why walk away from football. I love doing what I do."

yeah but Brady is full of ****. Its true he plays because he loves to play but he wants to remembered as the greatest of all time. Anyone would. He is well aware of what he has accomplished and how he will be remembered in history, provided the NFL is still relevant in the future. All it will take is a massive stock market crash or a real war.. or an extreme natural disaster to wash away our modern day gladiators achievements.

Edit: I think I took that a little to far lol..

Ben has 2. Had he won it this year he'd have 3. Eli will have 3 if they win again. Not far away from 4.
Right..and if he wins one after that it's 5, right? And then 6, which is close to 7. Are you showing you can count?

No just showing how close some may really be to even 4. If things fall perfectly....

He doesn't have anything left to prove. 4 SB MVPs, 5 rings, and the most wins in NFL history is plenty.

I want him to keep going, but there is nothing left to accomplish to further his place in NFL history
