Nice Article By Sally Jenkins on TB12

unfortunately, there's always someone who has a negative spin on things:

TheLead Sports » Are Tom Brady and The Patriots Circumventing the Salary Cap?

my take is, maybe they are circumventing the salary cap, but the NFL and NFLPA have both said the arrangement between the patriots and TB12 is fine, so deal with it.
Pretty interesting and well done article that omits one important point. That from the last time Brady redid his deal, no QB in the league put more CASH in his pocket than TB12. (That will change next year when Rodgers will pass him in compensation) Brady took a HUGE check home when he signed his last contract well OVER 20MM IIRC. His low cap numbers in recent years are largely the function of the way they structured his contract, so he would end up like Manning, being a drain on the cap at the end of his career.

But I'm not the person to rebut this truth of this article, @Miguel, should be the guy who should comment on it.

I'm glad to hear Tom does yoga. Everyone should, IMO.

I'm 45, in good shape, run a lot, play basketball, etc and every morning when I wake up I feel like I was in a car accident.

Dead people have more flexibility than I do.

I'm at that point of picking it up.

I climb and it is an absolute godsend. My strength and flexibility and balance is much better than it was in my 20s, that's for sure.

Try a daily ten minute Sun Salutation routine and you'll be amazed.

Funny, I don't remember anyone ever questioning if Manning was circumventing the salary cap getting in bed with an NFL sponsor and opening 50 Papa Johns in Denver

People are shameless and will try anything at this point. They've already commented that the NFL knows of their arrangement and it does not violate any rules.. and in the grand scheme of things, the money that Brady pulls in from that side business is insignificant compared to the top end money for franchise QBs.. I doubt he's pulling millions in profits a year from that place, and even if he is, good for him.. its not against the law to own a business, he has a lease with Robert Kraft just like Five Guys, Bass Pro Shops, etc all have a lease with Kraft.

How much money do you think Manning has made off of FIFTY franchise Papa Johns in a state that has legalized marijuana? I mean really

Every day, huh?

This could be a good start pliability

Here's the one I do: Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres - Sun Salutation
I replace that move on the far right (after the plank) with a child's pose. 6 reps in the am and 6 in the evening makes for a happy back. Hold each pose for five seconds. I don't do any of the spiritual stuff - no patience for that, but it is a very productive routine for me. Start slow and don't overdo it.

Ken - That article was actually a poorly done rehash of an article by Bob Hohler of the Boston Globe.

One of the things that the writer overlooked is that Brady has almost always taken "under-market" contracts. He's opted for more money for the team than himself. Even before he got married.

On a different note, by all accounts Moses Cabrera embraces a wider understanding of the concepts of strength and conditioning, including the pliability. I don't think it's a coincidence that the team replaces Whalen with him and the number severe injuries and even minor ones seems to plummet.. I mean. We were able to dress the same O-line for the entire season, unlike last year where all but Dave Andrews were injured at one point or another.

I'm 47, had my feet taken out of me during today's ice storm. Flew 5 feet in the air and landed on the corner of a contrete step in the middle of my back. I'm still walking when I prob shouldn't but I'm lucky it me the most muscular part of my back.

That said, I'm no TFB!!!!!!!
Or any other NFL player.
