Tony Mazz 100% needs to go.

He legit just echos whatever Felger says, but in a whiner/angrier tone. Never offers a unique take and if he ever has a thought that differs from Felger, he'll back down right away about. It's actually pathetic.

Felger paired with someone who actually would debate with him a bit would be entertaining.

Michael Holley would kick his ass, as he does on those rare occasions they're paired up on Comcast.

If there was one show I'd be particularly like seeing axed it'd be Kirk & Callahan. They pull very good ratings so obviously it's not going anywhere but they are the worst. Borderline intolerable to listen to.

Given the whole goal of the exercise is to increase profits and reduce costs, why have two different stations doing the same thing? Seems likely there will be just one station left standing after it all. Maybe they need a 2nd signal for winter nights where hockey and bball overlap?

I suppose the only reason to keep two stations would be to prevent a new third party from emerging, but the question is, would a third party invest in the market where they can't get any rights for any of the four major sports?

Why not? Have a real talk radio station, less "hot takes" not beholden to any team due to on air conflicts.

I would love to see a format where there are 4 main hosts of 4 hour shows and a rotation of guests hosts based on the sports season. If the callers want to say ridiculous things, fine let them. I just don't want the hosts doing the same.

The main hosts don't even need to be from be from this area, so they can reign the homerism down some. Everyday a different guest host, guest host of course can be on different times during the day all week long. Get different guests from other parts of NE, There are no needs to get Tanguay and such on the new station.

I listen from 6 to 7:15 because I am in work and it's the only station I get. Once I get to my car it's Hillman in the morning. Bring Dino back. By the way I know it's Kirk.

Nah, neither are typical sports guys. But I like that. They still talk sports while going off track into lots of other nonsense that I find hilarious (Im easily amused). I understand it's not for everyone.

I cant stand politics mixed with my sports/entertainment, so im a natural enemy of the WEEI morning show.

I agree with a distaste for political talk, but both shows do it. I also prefer to listen to real men and not two guys that act like they do bong hits between breaks.

Half the T&R show is those 2 dopes giggling at themselves. Grown men don't giggle

It would be interesting and refreshing to have someone host with Felger and actually butt heads once in a while. Mazz has different takes at times but not by much.

Mazz wouldn't be that bad if he diverged a bit more from Felger. Mazz and Jim Murray basically just seem to fall in line with Felger's contrarianism. Would be nice to have Mazz or someone else occasionally combat his POV's. It's kind of boring when they all agree on an issue such as deflate gate.

Mazz basically just sold his soul to be part of the "Felger and Mazz" phenomena. He sucks, but I actually do find their show funny.

I'm just happy they have to sweat it a little. All of them have been out of line on lots of different issues. Hey it is the way it goes in business. I remember when talk on 96.9 FM was very hot and new management just blew it up entirely for music because the "talent" would cost so much less. Hard core business only decisions.
