Mafia?...huh? I asked some old friends who know about these things down here in R.I. and they assured me those days are long gone. All the wiseguys straightened out and got involved in legal businesses...like the heavy construction business.Yeah, one of my buddies told me there's a lot of legal money just digging foundation holes. It's easy with a backhoe loader. Shyt, you could knock out a Felger Estates development or a Simms Lane plat in no time....and a lot of the high end equipment have bright headlights for excavating holes in the dead of night.

Nah. No mafia around here anymore. Chris should really take some time and share his thoughts with the guys up on Federal Hill.There's a great restaurant called Joe Marzilli's Old Canteen situated right next door to Camilles Roman Gardens. They got a nice tunnel connected to a meat butchery room that runs right under both joints. Chris could sneak right in and out unnoticed with the help of head valet and doorman Rocco Argente. I'd be more than happy to set Chris up on the cuff, just to show there's no hard feelings.

I agree. I'm a union Electrician, And I can assure that business has been gone for a long time. I don't know where that negative image comes from. Believe me , they are a bunch of Good Fellas.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I remember that week VERY WELL!!.

I live in New Jersey, and I was working pretty much by myself that week, running conduit in a basement at Georgian Court College. . I had my little radio.

My blood was boiling. I've have a major hatred for him since then. Mostly because he had no facts, other than total bias.

It's a real sad way for Simms to try to make a living.

No self respect.

I live 1 mile off 146 5 minutes from RI. Far be it from me to disparage "the good people of RI", particularly you. Federal Hill is a place I frequent often for fine dining. I assiduously avoid the cellars...
