Unreal. Ben is taking what they are giving him. And he is taking it not taking chances down the field except twice where there was perfect coverage. How long does he stay patient? My guess is he can't for 3 quarters. And when you play one of the worst red zone teams you don't let them have the quick easy score...do yourself a favor and look back at how many yards Pittsburgh had last week and then how many points they had.
I am VERY pleased the Pats held Pittsburgh to 9 points in the first half, but I would like to see them get off the field on 3rd down and have more opportunities to score
Excellent points. I don't see Ben staying patient. So far he has been excellent at it, but he has that itch to take a chance and we will get at least one or two more balls that will be up for grabs. He already threw one.
Idk about that. The offense has to be remain perfect. They better get a damn 3 and out. This hasn't looked like a championship defense in the first half.
Hey, you hold an opponent to 9 points per half with this offense and your chances of winning are damn good. I'll admit there was some ugly - but I buy into the Patriots coaches playing chess while the opponents are playing checkers. They save their silver bullets for the second half. I will NOT be surprised if the Steelers put up fewer than 9 points in the second half.
If this is a one posession game with 2 min to go and Pittsburgh has the ball, that's where you'll learn what this defense really is. Until they blow it in a big spot, you can't even suggest this defense has been bad today
