Just heard it on the radio. Mazz said last week is proof the steelers can win other ways.

And Pittsburgs offense was on fire against miami. And steelers defense is just as good if not better than Patriots

Kicking 6 FGs and needing Eric Fisher to tackle James Harrison on a 2 point conversion that would have tied the game.

Ya I mean NE totally didn't just put up 35 on them or anything on them a couple of weeks ago and NE's offense even on an off game didn't put up 27 points on a very good defense.

Well if Pats haven't played anyone, neither have the Steelers.

Which oh btw Alex Smith wasn't that much better than Brock Osweiler this year. He just had less interceptions and completed a few more passes

Alex Smith 3500 yards 67% (328 of 489) 15 TD 8 INT
Osweiler 2960 yards 59% (301 of 510) 15 TD 16 INT

And Matt Moore completed 80% of his passes against the steelers, problem was he coughed it up on 3 straight drives which they couldn't overcome.

The only thing that sucks for the Patriots is 4 of the WR's are on the injury report. I still the Patriots win.

The Pats are going to win this one, feeling pretty confident. Coming off a sloppy performance, I'm sure the determination is high, we are at home, and we are the best team in the AFC.

The Super Bowl may be a different story, but we've got this one.

If he's right, he spends the next 5 years gloating about it because for some weird, inexplicable reason he hates everyone and everything that makes his job possible. And for some even more inexplicable reason people actually pay attention to him while he overtly ****s on and trolls them. With the added bonus that he can then claim objectivity and join in with 31 other fanbases in ripping on Pats fans for having the audacity to want our team to win football games. If he's wrong nobody will even remember, since we'll be too busy celebrating another Super Bowl berth.

If you abandon any pretense whatsoever of integrity or conviction, it's pretty much a no-lose proposition on his part. Until people get sick enough of these antics to just tune the guy out, it'll never change. And given that people still care what Dan Shaughnessy and Ron Borges have to say about anything, the precedent has been set that the Boston fanbase, for whatever reason, will never do its part in creating repercussions for acting like this. If you don't like what these guys have to say, stop doing your part to give them a platform. Don't listen to their shows, don't read whatever nonsense they're writing, etc. To do so is to pay them in your time/attention for the privilege of being trolled.

Full disclosure: I'm less optimistic about this game than most. I think we'll win, but I probably place the odds of losing higher than most (I'm hovering between 70-30 and 60-40, so let's say 65-35). FWIW, I agree that the Steelers' D is nearly as good as ours, to the point that I wouldn't classify it as a major advantage for us. The main advantage, in my eyes, is that our offense is better and we have home field. The Steelers' offense has generally struggled on the road; Roethlisberger's home/road splits are pretty alarming if you're a Steelers fan. A lot of that probably comes down to crowd noise, so I hope our crowd brings it on Sunday. If that trend continues, and their offense plays like it generally has on the road, we will win. If they break the trend, then it's anyone's game.

Offensively, I think our winning formula is to go right after Mitchell and Timmons in the middle of the defense. Any time Mitchell is in deep coverage, I hope to see us attacking him with deep sideline throws to Hogan or seam passes to whoever happens to be in the middle of the field. Make him commit, and rely on him to overcommit and create openings for big plays. Shazier and Tuitt are the defenders that worry me. Shazier could disrupt our short passing game with his range, Tuitt can manhandle guys at the LOS and could disrupt us there. Harrison and Dupree are good, but I think our guys can handle them and keep them from having the kind of impact they had last week. It's a pretty big testament to Cannon's progress that I'm going into this game considering him to be one of the strongest matchups on the field for us; amazing how much perceptions can shift in just a few months.

Less optimistic? This won't be as difficult as a lot of people are saying. Vegas has the Pats with a 39ish percent chance to win the SB. Falcons at 32 and bringing up the rear is Pitt with 12.

I think they know something. Landry Jones IN Pitt against NE had the same passer rating as Bens road rating this year. The people who are saying last possession/three point game are fairly wrong. 10-14 point win.

Agree with ViperGTS. Patriots in control from opening kickoff, win decisively 28-17.

You're listening to the Felger/Mazz radio program, that's 100% built around trolling its audience. You must, therefore, know that you're going to get trolled if you listen to that program. That being the case:

Why the hell are you making a thread about Felger trolling?

Felcher always has positive input. Never cared what his view is, never will. I already know what comes out of A holes.
