WEEI STAND UP AND TAKE A BOW. YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT IS HOW I FEEL. THEY SUCK!! THEY ARE USELESS GARBAGE. ALL they do is talk trash, write garbage and piss people off. Then they have the nerve to call it news. **** ALL OF YOU. YOU SUCK. YOU ARE NOT REPORTING NEWS!! YOU ARE REPORTING GARBAGE!!!
SORRY GUYS. I had to vent.

Just stop listening. The only way to hurt The Troll Hub and EEI is to not listen. I wish there was a better way but if people simply stop listening, they can't sell ad space and they'd have to put people on the air people are willing to listen to.

Podcasts are a great solution. There's countless NFL podcasts to pick from. The content is better and there are no ads or very few ads that are easy to skip over. If you have a smartphone then they are just as convenient as a radio is, presuming your car has bluetooth and/or an aux input. I've been rolling with podcasts for years now and haven't listened to EEI/Hub for more than a few minutes here and there.

What're some of your favorites? I can't seem to find NFL ones I like.

I used to like the Make Me Smarter One - but they've apparently replaced Lombardi with Cris Carter (???) Sorta defeats the whole name and stated mission of the podcast. The first segment recently was CC ranting about how the team that has a lower score when the game is over did in fact lose the game - not merely run out of time... I had to unsubscribe.

I also have tried several times to listen to the Ringer's NFL podcast - those guys just seem too... giddy? to actually provide analysis. They really impress themselves by watching football and being amazed by it.

They're OK in moderation. I do like Rich Eisen. I listen to him a bit when I have lunch sometimes. Here is a guy affiliated with the NFL on a couple levels, grew up a Jets/Yankees fan as far as I know, and yet really has no bias against Boston sports beyond what would be considered friendly.

Yes, Chris Carter isn't going to make you smarter, unless you need to know that you need a fall guy. I think it's strange the way Lombardi just was swapped out and Chris Carter was swapped in, without a word being said. Seems Chris is on his 2nd show so the change must be sticking?

Keep in mind that the standard being set is that of EEI/Hub so the bar is pretty low.

Having said that, I like Tom E Curran's 'Quick Slants' podcast for its Pats content, although it does try to inject some mirth here and there. It seems that's a requirement. The Ex-Pats podcast is also pretty good.

Bill Barnwell's podcast is good for NFL especially if you are stats oriented. I skip over the Bachelor/Bachelorette stuff, it's not my cup of tea.

If you like sports business, Andrew Brandt's Business of Sports podcast is excellent, although some of his guests aren't as good now as the earlier shows.

I personally like NFL's 'Around the NFL' podcast, but not for the football analysis, more for the mirth, although I occasionally learn things from it.

Ross Tucker Football Podcast is pretty formulaic but it gets interesting when he shares his experiences as a former player, one that was on the bubble most of his NFL career.

All of the above, IMHO, are far better than EEI/Hub.

Great, thanks both!

It's a disappointment if Lombardi's not on that podcast anymore. He used to have the podcast's logo as his twitter picture - no longer. If Lombardi isn't on there anymore, there's no reason to listen to it - though if I'm being honest I think it was already going downhill because the other host is too screechy/preachy/hot-take-y (the avoidance of which was seemingly the point of the podcast.)

Mike Silver on NFLN:"Belichick as great as he is , keeps his assistants for himself unlike bill walsh" . Seriously ????

I thought the knock on Belichick was that all of his assistants fail when they leave the Patriots? Now, it's that he doesn't let his coaches leave, also?

I'm beginning to suspect that, with people like Mike Silver, Belichick can't win.
