All the doubters are back, Brady is flawed

Yeah, it's tiresome. That complete a..hat Ian O'Connor on ESPN just put up his scheduled click-bait column where he opines that "it's not too late" for Rodgers to overtake Brady as the GOAT. Srsly? So not only do we have the indignity of having to listen to the ballwashing over and over again, we have to pretend we didn't observe the first half of this season when he was ordinary? Why doesn't that count? Meanwhile, the guy who was unjustly prevented from playing four games is penalized for it? I didn't read a single analysis that failed to mention that "Brady didn't play four games", yet I haven't seen a single one that said "Aaron Rodgers lost four games in a row including one where he threw two interceptions to the mighty freakin' Colts defense".

The "highly "susceptible to a pass rush" like most other QBs, "but not all." was from some espn mediot saying how because the steelers had 30 sacks in the 2nd half of the season they are the best pass rushing team. It was posted in another thread which I added context

20 of the sacks came against the Browns(Kessler/McCown/Griffin), Bills (Taylor) and Colts (Tolizen)

But against better QBs/OLs Flacco 2x, Dalton, Manning and Prescott the only had a combined 10 sacks.

I suspected as much.

Agenda-driven, mindless commentary and analysis supported by zero context and logic.

Thats what happens if you always win. Its the yankees/Man U effect. You saw it on THIS board during the college football championship. Everyone wanted Alabama to lose.

Agree completely, the only fans who want the Patriots to win are Patriot fans, and that's a good thing.

If you watch the highlights, it's really easy to see Brady go from rattled the first half to in rhythm towards the end. Which is almost even more impressive. He's battle tested, folks.

Steelers defense is not as good as Texans, there isn't much of a discussion about it. Brady will be in rhythm. And if he doesn't start that way, he will get in rhythm.

You have the EXHAUST your defense to slow Brady down. Very few times does it work so that a defense is able to keep up such an effort.

Please feed that chip on his shoulder. It seriously NEVER works out for other teams. Please continue to doubt him. There is not a single athlete as effective as Brady in the face of doubt.
Brady wasn't rattled.

people call it an off performace, despite the fact that both ints were on tipped passes.

Brady got completely out of rythm in the first half after sitting for what felt like an entire quarter of football, due to the KO td, followed by a turnover.

Brady's deep ball was on point this weekend.
And none of his ints were called back by penalties.

Who is the source of such rubbish which drew your ire this morning?

Multiple venues, I can't list them all, but ESPN and the Mike Sandos of the world, etc.

After all the comebacks in Brady's career, I watched in absolute astonishment last year the AFC Championship game. I know he didn't complete the comeback so it doesn't count. BUT, I had long given up on the game. I was emotionally flat. And when I saw him connect with the long bomb to Gronk, I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. I just sat there and thought, "How is this even possible?" When they went for 2, I thought, "They have no business being even in this game."

Brady's will is indomitable. He can't be intimidated.

Yep.

TB12 can be beaten. But not defeated.

In a way I think the Houston game helped Brady and Josh a lot because it showed them where they are vulnerable (flood the middle of the field so Brady can't have his usual short passing game), all against a weak (offensive) opponent who couldn't take advantage and score while the offense was in a funk. Now they can fix it going forward. The two INTs were tipped balls, and especially the first one (which Floyd should have caught) wasn't Brady's fault. He really did not have a bad game as much as the O line had a bad first half. As usual, Brady and Josh adjusted as the game went along and we eventually won by a huge margin, bigger than all the other winners this weekend. The vaunted Killer B's for Pittsburgh couldn't score TDs against a good D, yet Brady managed to do so. Bring it Steelers.

Amazed at how this happens. I don't just think it is people hyping the games next week by going hyperbolic. I think they really believe it. They can't get it out of their heads that Brady was a 6th round draft pick. Doubts about how clutch he is. Doubts about how scared he is when he is highly "susceptible to a pass rush" like most other QBs, "but not all."

One so-called bad game and people have turned against him.

Amazes me.

Jeez,

I wish he had thrown a TD pass or two and the Pats won that game. Oh well...

Doesn't take much does it, just one off performance and hes finished. And its not like he imploded, he had almost 300 yards passing and two td's.

And about 6-8 total throwaways, and one of his INTs was a ball that went through Floyd's hands. They all count, but his performance was much better than his numbers indicated.

This is a little off topic, but i don't think if a ball bounces off a receivers hands for an int should go against the qb. If the reciever muffs the pass it should go against the receiver.

This is nothing new. The Giants Super Bowls "proved" that Brady hates being hit. Calling Suggs out in front of the ref for trying to blow up his knee again "proves" that Brady isn't tough, blah blah blah dee blah.

It's delicious watching him make the naysayers look like idiots.

I love it when this talk starts. Great timing too. This should put an asteroid sized chip on Brady's shoulder.
