23-9

9-7 in the last 16 playoff games with a 33-18 TD-INT ratio. Game 1 was The Game That Shall Not Be Named. For whatever reason, Brady has been a pick machine in the playoffs since then.

"Chicken parm, it tastes so good"
"Tom Brady, is better than me"

This is 8th game he's won with a rating below 80. He's been too much like Peyton Manning since 2007. Incredible regular season numbers followed by a postseason flop.

"Get out of here and take your curly-haired boyfriend with you."

Yeah, it's not something that gets mentioned that much, but Brady's recent postseason career has had several highs and lows

I saw someone observe in another thread that defenses in the playoffs have recently been taking away the short/inside stuff and forcing Brady to go deep. We obviously saw that last night, but the 2 picks were on the plays he didn't go deep (likely a result of Houston's scheme because any time a pass was tipped, there were way more Texans swarming than Patriots). In fact, the recent playoff INTs that stick out most to me have been ones in the short/middle or caught by linebackers: the one against NYJ, Chase Blackburn and Wagner in the Super Bowl, McKinney. Interesting, but don't know what to make of it all. He clearly does turn it on a lot of the time.

For reference, his FIRST 16 playoff games were 14-2, 25 TD, 12 INT in a largely different era.

Six straight appearances in the AFCCG. Remarkable.

And this run started at age *34* for Brady. Truly remarkable.

Regards,
Chris

You should retire from discussing anything related to football.
Or become a browns fan.

Yeah, well, TennisBallHead or CHB, or TomatoCanFace, or whoever you are, the major difference is that Brady is headed to his 11thh AFCC was compared to Manning's 9 one and dones. Or 23-9 vs 13-12.

Brady's amazing stats, including his postseason record remind me how amazingly fortunate we are to have the GOAT here playing with our Patriots. Skills, talent, and a mindset like his are unlikely to ever be matched by anyone else.

One look at his postseason game logs, combined with a basic memory of the Patriots' offensive health, can supply you the "whatever reason".

Meanwhile to garner some attention getting behavior Jim Rome is criticizing Brady for his commercials(more expensive stuff we do not need) $$$$$$.. don't you wish you had this opportunity Jim.. "thanks for the vine man, lousy take"..

Then Ray Lewis and Earl Thomas both criticize them from their couches via twitter, the most destructive method of communication known to man, a venue where absolute idiots can push their views and people like them for doing so..

23-9 for the skinny kid from Michigan.. still the same magic as we have seen for 15 years... I am a very lucky fan to have witnessed this..
Uggg jim rome? Thats one voice i turn the station as soon as i hear it now! "rack him" or whatever moronic saying he used to always say. lol

Jim Rome made his name by provoking a professional athlete to punch him on the air. On the scale of "holier than thou," I find shilling commercials for expensive products to be far less offensive. Frankly what's offended me more is learning through life experience that Rome's behavior increases ratings and job opportunities, not decreases.

Brady has now played 2 regular season worth of playoff games. He is 23-9 in the playoffs, against playoff teams. That equates to a 12-4 and 11-5 season.
How many QBs have that winning % in regular season games much less in the post season.

It really is remarkable. Of course, the vast majority of those games have been at home, so that's helpful. But yeah, playing against the best teams in the league over this "schedule" and going 23-9 is pretty incredible.
