PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter was arrested Sunday night, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson Sonya Toler.

Beaver County Times sports reporter Chris Mueller sent out a series of tweets about the alleged incident around 9:30 p.m.

Porter was reportedly placed into a police car just outside The Flats bar after an altercation with a police officer.

Steelers Director of Communications Burt Lauten released a statement:

“We are aware of an incident tonight involving Joey Porter. We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and we will have no further comment until we get more details.”

Maybe he just keeps one in his locker.

I don't want to hear any Pittsburgh-fan excuses when the Patriots once again beat the Steelers in the playoffs.

But I am sure I will....

It USED to be called the Steve McNair Drama Queen award, but Ben retired it years ago.

Ben is a good QB and he's a tough QB, he just feels the need that everyone know that he's just as tough as Tom Brady.

Let us get something clear...if he is hobbling around like Spider from Goodfellas, there is no way he is playing Sunday. If he does, you know he is playing the 'wounded soldier'.

Big ben does this so if they lose he has a built in excuse "well if Ben was healthy we would destroy them!!"

and if they win its "Big Ben is such a warrior!!!"

In what part of the game did he injure his ankle? Did anyone see it?

The claim was right after he threw his second interception. This article has an image of the hit. Didn't look all that bad to me, but who knows.

On Mike&Mike they were openly mocking Ben and his histrionics - even his ex-teammate Ryan Clark - who likened him to the doctor in "House".

I saw a picture of his ankle/lower leg getting rolled up on. I don't think he's faking it.

I saw a video of him walking to the locker room after the game. He had no apparent limp and was walking fine. This is him once again being a drama queen.
