Thought i read somewhere that teams no longer use this system but something else?

There's not a ton of QBs in the league's history who have regressed and then recovered. But the league is full of guys like RG3, Vince Young, Osweiler, et al who have had a decent to good year, started to suck and never recovered.
I've seen that suggested elsewhere too.
Yes, because two games is absolutely all you need to determine that!!!!There's one other factor at play here:
Durability.
Jimmy G only started 2 games and went down.
If you're the Pats do you factor that into your decision if a good offer comes up??
Absolutely a guess on my part, but Brissett looks to be one tough SOB.
Didn't he get hammered throught out his college career??
I have as well.
That is not an option because I said so.
I think what upsets me about it is that it kind of makes sense. Brady plays for the hometown to round out his career - so it's not like he's shipped off to ****ing Minnesota or something. Josh and Brady are tight. It would give that franchise a huge lift in terms of fan interest. It solves the JimmyG problem and the Patriots would get a good haul of draft picks.
I hate the entire idea.
I don't think chalking it all up as sunk cost works in this scenario. There's a lot of other factors.
There's only a sunk cost from the owner's standpoint. The GM and scouts? If they declare Bortles a bust they're done. The only shot they have is that he turns it around.
And from the owner's standpoint I think there's more than just sunk cost - there's also the PR aspect and doubtlessly a little pride at stake here too. Sometimes it's really hard for people to admit they're wrong.

That's all true, but it's a separate (albeit related) set of issues. Drafting, developing, and paying Bortles is a sunk cost. What you've described doesn't contradict that, but is basically the standard list of petty, stupid, prideful, and/or self-serving reasons why people double down on the wrong decision rather than making the right one.

I thought you were perma-banned? WELCOME TO MY IGNORE LIST
The Browns have #12 and #52. Adding those 2 would equal about the 7th pick on most charts.Depends how high. By high i mean top 7 or higher.
1 first round pick can be worth more than 3 or even 4 other first round picks and if we get one that is really high i would look to trade down to multiple first round picks.

Do you ignore everyone who posts something you disagree with?
