I don't have the clip yet, but it was during the Pats/Dolphins highlights. The guy who is either the Miami D-line or defensive coordinator talking to the guys. He has a print copy of a play in his hands and he says incredulously,

"He's calling the correct protections every f-ing time!"

TB is a god.

Edit: changed my mistake on the coach. Thanks @DarrylS!

Do not want to be picky, but shouldn't if be a D Coordinator or LB coach???

Just googled it, nothing yet.

Yup, Steve Smith Sr was saying exactly that about TB & Patricia's Def. on Undisputed Show. He said TB is Steps, Many Steps above A.Rodgers.

TB took the presnap game to another level.
It will remain eternal legacy of the game and point of reference.
Compared to this other QBs are mainly ball-throwers.

This is also one of key reasons for his uncanny longevity - using full potential of brain (relentless study) to reduce the body decline factor ..

Yeah it's PFF (so always be careful) but they credited Brady with only four turnover-worthy plays in 12 games. There are quite a few QBs out there that have as many in a single game.

Absolutely hilarious that there are Dopefins fans calling it a dirty block.

If only everyone could carry themselves with the same class and grace that Suh does..

How demoralizing could that be on an opponent when even if you call a blitz, I should say when especially if you call a blitz, you're more likely to give up the yards/points.

Die quick or die slow (dink and dunk). Either way, you're dead.

Yep. That's always been the case with Brady, though. He's the GOAT against the blitz. The only hope the opposing defense has of slowing him down is to do what the Giants used to do and what the Jets did in 2010: generate pressure with 3-4 rushers while dropping the rest into coverage. But that's the recipe to defeat any good quarterback.

Not this team.

Is the guy talking about TB or Andrews? Aren't protections Andrews' responsibility?

My understanding is that the center tells his linemen what to do and Brady tells backs/TEs, so its mutual

They're probably usually on same page, but if Brady changes something I doubt Andrews is gonna go against him

Unless you have a good run game. And I think we have that this year. So the D can't even rely on that. We can call 2 backs to run, protect or split out wide. Amazing O this year. Heck, even Develin can split out wide.

If I'm the opposing DC, I worry about the run game second. I line up in the Nickel in try to stop the run from that personnel grouping. Now, granted, not every team can do that but there are some teams in the playoffs that are capable. Brady is still the guy you need to worry about. Throw Nickel packages out there, try to stop the run out of that, and make every attempt to move Brady off his spot using no more than four rushers. Easier said than done, though. MUCH easier said than done.
