With Amendola and Mitchell not practicing, Sunday could be an extended look at Floyd. He still needed help lining up last week, but his size and strength outside were pretty obvious.

Absolutely. And it may help if 3 if Miami's corners were not there to play. Of course it would be a small sample size and not a good evaluation, but every little bit helps.

so the dolphins are resting many of their players??

I think it will be more of a running game setting up some play action where Floyd should get a few targets.

I highly doubt Denver is going to throw a clunker like that in again in front of their home crowd.

This game to Denver is basically a pre-season game. I wouldn't be surprised if they started Paxton.

So mitchell's listed with a knee injury.

He's a better option right now than that scrub semen.

Maybe but I don't think I've ever seen him play. Anyways my point was that Denver may use this game as they would a pre season game which is to evaluate talent rather than play for a playoff seeding. So it isn't a given that the Raiders will lose.

Anyways I hope the Pats play like they have been for the last four weeks. Get a win and rest during the bye week.

Mitchell out with a knee injury we might be f*cked

Did Mitchell finish the game on Saturday? I don't recall either way.

Manage Mitchell? Maybe protect that rookie wall, or give the knee a couple of weeks if he needs it.

Let's see what Floyd can do - it's not like he's a rookie, or doesn't know the basics of the Pats system. They didn't pay the guy 1.4 to do nothing, so cool.

No.
Despite seeing most snaps of WR corps in the game he didn't play in 4th q.
He hobbled a bit and held his knee for a sec after his last catch in the middle of 3rd.
He stayed in for the whole series, started one snap in the next series at the end of 3rd, then never returned.

By the looks of things a bruise or something.

Yes, probably, but I once read a magazine article by a young woman reporter who interviewed Giselle at her & Tom's home in the Back Bay, and then was astounded, when she asked to call a cab, when Giselle pooh-poohed that and said, "my husband will drive you back to your hotel." Then this lady was driven, awestruck, back to her hotel by Tom Brady. LOL, the article was about how nice and down-to-earth Giselle & Tom were.
Yep, I read this as well. A Vogue interview.

Thanks. I guess I was mentally checked out by then.

Whenever I say this a dozen posters contradict this by saying you play to win championships.

I think that's at the core of the argument of whether to rest guys or play to win the Miami game. If the Pats had the #1 seed wrapped up I would be more on the rest side of the argument.
