Very respectable but not prolonged greatness.
I'd like him to stay as long as it takes for Miami to be ready to hire him.Sign my petition to get Rex another year to prove himself in Buffalo!

The talent he has should have been more than respectable
I think a lot of that comes from his burning desire to tell everyone how great he is. He is a garrulous guy who is an attention whore and cares more about what people think of him than what he accomplished. That's a pretty good formula for being overrated.Rex has always been overrated.
I mean from one extreme in terms of personalities to the other.

Scott was a bit piece, and a very overrated player. Mangini handed him a killer D.I give credit to him landing Bart Scott (because they paid him the most) but say what people will say about him but Mangini loaded that Jets defense with talent.
Agree. If Favre stays healthy they make the playoffs and he keeps his job.Scott was a bit piece, and a very overrated player. Mangini handed him a killer D.
Mangini was building a team there that would have been very competitive.
More importantly he has the building blocks in place for long term success, that Rex came in and shot holes through after a bit of success with what he was handed.Agree. If Favre stays healthy they make the playoffs and he keeps his job.

as a bills fan.... watching rex leave earlier than expected is a plus.
as a bills fan.... 17 years is a long time.
there's plenty of pats fans who have no recollection or ability to recall the 90's... that and the epic tailgating and fan base are few of the fond memories.
honestly, Doug Whaley couldn't find a quarterback in a college uniform if that was his job.... wait a second.
Russ Brandon needs an ultimatum.... you stay out of the football operations and market the operation or you're fired, period.
it sucks being a bills fan, it sucked being a pats fan for a while too.
Gus Bradley is available...I hear the Jest might have an opening after this season...
Agreed! Another NFL expert in the know (NOT).We're running out of "Sooner Than You Think" time
