Why would his BAC change any of the "supportive types" views.
I don't think I saw anyone say that what he did wasn't wrong, or that there shouldn't be heavy consequences for what he did. My issue was with those who felt that what he did should preclude him from being a member of the Patriots. He is paying a heavy price now, and that price is going to go up even further as the case is adjudicated, suspensions incur, and millions in FA money is lost.
My position has always been that as long as we haven't made having a DUI a reason for everyone to lose their job; and as long as Michael Floyd is a good player, teammate, and responsible citizen, I will welcome him with cautiously open arms. My question is, why wouldn't everyone?
Sure. But this went from a guy who was charged with a DUI to Super Extreme DUI. This went from could have been a tired guy who had a few beers sleeping at the wheel of his car to a guy who pounding drink after drink before or during driving a car. So there is a difference and one being easier to understand than the other. It's pretty easy to understand how some don't want anything to do with this guy and I'm not sure why you don't.
My position is that he is here and I hope he turns his life around and succeeds but I'm not going to disagree with those who feel otherwise because what he did was beyond stupid. It was reckless and without concern for other people's lives. I could go on but I think you get my point.
Hopefully you read that as being written in a respectful tone.
