Mounting frustration in Denver locker room: "Any time we hold Brady to 16 points, we expect to win!"

I don't like the guy but talib might be the best corner in the nfl. All of a sudden he's an iron man. I think he might play well into his 30s

And any desperate team that scores only 3 points are expected to be laughed at and should hide their faces for the next week.

Also the Broncos D can complain about the O all they want. The fact is most of their money goes to D so when you don't have much to spend on the O what do you expect?

Nearly all of the offensive money is spent on Sanders and DT and really not much else. Maybe if they want a better O spend more on it but then you need to let a few players on D go.

You want a good RB pay for it. You want a good QB? Pay for it. You want WR depth or real help from the TE position pay for it.

If Denver wants a good O. They need to let Ware, Ward and either Harris or Talib go.

Trade for Romo and sign a okay WR and a RB. Then they will have a good O but lose that dominant pass D.

The Pats are not perfect on D. The #2 and #3 CBs are suspect sometimes. The 2nd LB has been okay but not special and we don't have that dominant pass rusher. However they make it work well while also making sure Brady has good tools to work with.

I had 2 favorite quotes:

"During training camp, Elway told me he felt that despite the "emphasis that people put on quarterbacking, sometimes (it) is not the key thing. Obviously, if you look at the way we won the championship that year ... you don't necessarily need a Tom Brady to win a championship. It makes it a little easier for you cause you've got that guy you can build around, but by no means is it any guarantee."

LOL at Elway taking a shot at Peyton Manning.

And then there's this:

"We did dominate them," Ward said of the Patriots, "but when they don't have to pass, No Fly kinda gets eradicated, so we've got to try to make plays in other areas ... strip the ball, whatever. But it's tough when they don't have to pass the ball.

"You've got to be in a position to make plays, but teams don't even have to throw the ball on us. If they're not in a position to throw, it's hard to get an interception. And even when they run, their running backs have two hands on the ball, so it's hard to make plays (against) the run."

This reminds me of the days way back when the Steelers, Colts, and especially the Titans used to sneer at the Patriots in losses. I remember Zach Piller calling the Patriots the worst of the playoff teams after losing (this was a 14-2 Patriots team). He called them basically crap. Untalented. Stuff like that was said a lot. As though the Patriots would have played it so close to the vest if the Denver offense could do anything. So moronic.
Kinda forgot about that. Found an interesting old article on it:

TJ, let me tell you a little secret about your team's offense...

...It's not good enough to win even if you hold the Pats to 16 pts.

It annoys me so much when other teams say things like ' we are the better tea m' or 'they couldn't do anything against us so we should have won ', How about just giving the Pats credit for once ? How about realizing that the Patriot defense was the best unit out there today ?The Bronco's are so arrogant, so glad they are out of contention to win their division, and only have a slim chance to make the playoffs !

It's also funny when the person most responsible for the loss ("run stuffing safety???) *****es about it being someone ELSE's fault.

Found video of Denvers locker room after today's game:

Notice the rarely used treadmill in the back of the room.

"And even when they run, their running backs have two hands on the ball, so it's hard to make plays (against) the run."

The ongoing public stupidity of TJ Ward, Ladies and Gentlemen.......

---how 'bout TACKLING, moron?????? You CAN tackle 'em when they have two hands on the ball. In fact, it is EASIER.

I think it gets a lot of use. It's the spot he puts the chinese food or pizza down as he pays for the delivery.

Not True!!!! Felger says that Elway shows an alternative way of building dynasties!!!!!!

Just think, if Bill Pollian were still alive he could could have the rules committee outlaw carrying the football with both hands.

So, for the hell of it, I decided to check out Zach Piller's Wiki page and found the expected about his post-NFL life.........

"....Piller would later become known for drinking draft beer from a pitcher where he'd then pour the beer into a plastic cup full of ice. In 2011 he would go to become the self proclaimed "King of Wings" at his bar he co founded, Neighbors in Sylvan, TN. June 2016 he would face his greasiest life challenge when the arrival of Florida natives "The Kirkpatrick's " moved to their town. In early September of 2016 Piller would go on to found a movement. The then 351 pound Piller would ask not only his friends, but friends of friends to join him in an uber to for a journey from Tin Roof Downtown out to Neighbors. That movement would only find Piller and his then wife back Downtown in less than 1 hour. Currently you can most likely find him at Jets Pizza just outside of Nashville patiently waiting to hear the end of his friends story...."

Juxtapose THAT over the next decade plus to the New England Patriots!
