Anyone else thinking Pats/Giants 3?

The Giants aren't going to the SB. They've been living off of luck they've pulled out of their ass for weeks. That won't get it done in the playoffs.

No, everyone imagine losing to the Giants in the Super Bowl for a 3rd time, I think that would feel just as bad as 42 but at the same time I would love another crack at them but f*ck I rather not chance a 3rd lost I would truly never be the same again

Idk.........I've seen enough NFL games to say........................well, IDK.

Possible matchup with tbe falcons. If they win likely will face the cowboys. When was the last time a team beat the same team 3 times in a season? Anyone know?

After the 2007 SB, the Giants 'had' the Patriots number, and beat them in the regular season and SB again. I think their DL, and Caughlin were the keys.

Last year, going into NY and beating them in a similar manner to our losses, I think exorcised some demons. Whomever the Patriots play (and I am going to be presumptuous) in the SB will be a very talented opponent. If we are fortunate to win, I think it will because of our defense. I was having some doubts mid season, but this defense seems to have the 'flavor' of the early 2000's. Spend the 1st 8 games seeing what we have, and tweaking things, making sure the defensive unit compliments each other and believes in what BB says, and then dominate the last 6+ games going into the post season.

Cowboys beat Eagles three times in 09. Steelers beat Ravens three times in 08. Giants beat Redskins three times in 86 l think. We beat Dolphins three times in 97.

It has happened 16 times since 1990, where a team has swept another team 2-0 and then gone onto play them for a 3rd time in the postseason.

The team that swept the 2 regular season games has gone 11-5, or has won all 3 games approx. 70 percent of the time that it's happened.

Sorry that I don't have a link, but I just looked it up the other day on BetLabs, so I know the numbers fairly well. My wife was curious about DAL and the NYG possibly meeting a 3rd time. Coincidentally enough, out of those 5 times where the sweeping team didn't win, 2 of them were the Cowboys. They lost to the NYG in the 2007 season after sweeping them, and also ARZ in the 1998 season (they used to share a division).

I am surprised that it has happened that many times. I think i rather see the falcons, cowboys or seahags in the superbowl if we get there. Still alot of football left.

Please not the Giants. I don't care how well the Pats match up with them this season. Just no...

Yeah, I was surprised too. You always hear about how hard it is to beat a team 3 times, but from 1990 on, it's happened 11/16 times.

Seattle is the NFC team that I don't want to see. I guess the Giants would be next.

I just hope the Pats make the SB and don't care who they play.

If the Giants make the SB, they will have to win 3 road games and they are 3-3 on the road. They are getting screwed because the best they can do is get the 5th/6th seed if they don't win their division. They will probably end up with a better record than the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seed too. They should change the playoff seeding rules because I would be pissed if that happened to the Pats.

In his 34th playoff game #12 will rise above any opponent and the rest of the 52 will execute a brilliant game plan conceived by the Pats Brain Trust as they have more to prove than ever before..

You can try to stop us Roger, but the Pats are better than any of this.. as you put your tail between your legs and give #12 the Lombardi Trophy and SB MVP on national TV before millions of fans..

I don't care who they play.. this year they are on a mission.

green bay is basically out.

If Minny loses at GB next week and Detroit loses at Dallas, both very possible outcomes, the last game of the year with GB at Detroit will determine the winner of the NFCN. My money would be on GB for that one.

if you fear any team in the league right now, you haven't been paying attention
