Yikes!
Yikes!
A little selective, but still pretty relevant for context
I had my back turned - who was miked up and saying "Mother F***ERS" on that one play?
A Squirrel with a massive attitude.
Scoring plays are automatically reviewed. Since it wasn't called a scoring play, it wasn't reviewed. Pats would have had to challenge, which they chose not to do
Contraction of could have is could've. When pronounced, sounds like could of.
Because it sounds like "could've."
And it's inexplicable how someone didn't get that down to BB in time. That should have been reviewed. Not that it mattered in the end. Blount scored on the next play.
Mitchell has been good but let's see if he can have a bounce back game against the jests. I want this kid to be something. Many thought the same thing about dobson and he flamed out.
Isn't that one of Ernie Adams' jobs though, in terms of watching the TV feed and communicating what he sees? Sure seems like that's what's happening around the league, as many coaches either throw the flag or take a timeout when the TV replay has been shown. It's possible the Patriots didn't challenge because they didn't see the replay of Lewis extending the ball over the goal line that was shown on TV. I've heard of road teams complaining that the home team either doesn't show a replay of a borderline play or shows it too late for a team to decide to challenge. That could be the case here. All the Patriots knew for sure was that Lewis extended the ball at some point, lost it and got it back.
I agree, although it does seem like this happens a couple/few times a year. I think Bill has mentioned that the difficulty lies with him being able to get the right angle of sight, etc, so it seems as though his opinion is taken into account even after hearing from upstairs.Wish one of the beat reporters would have asked about it. Doubt we would have gotten a straight answer from BB but there had to be a communication breakdown (technical or human) between upstairs and the bench. Another thing to clean up.. as usual good that it happened now and not in the playoffs, time to figure out what went wrong..
How about some slants?
