Super Happy about Kyle Van Noy, he showed tons of heart today out there and played his heart out! Great job by him! I now have hope he will be a solid #2 for us and put Roberts to #3 until he proves himself.

defense played well

offense had some decent moments. overall, lousy performance for our high standards!

Also to add, playing all 3 of our running backs was great, Blount, then Lewis and then White, really messes with the opposing D on how they gonna defend them. I hope to see more of a running game from the team going forward, when you have a running game going then you are truly a complete team.

Mitchell is obviously doing well, but the big positive is how he plays along the sidelines. Like a LaFell, with great YAC capability too, except with infinitely better hands. Anybody remember how well the offense flowed when LaFell played well, before he "lafell" off the face of the earth?

Stayed away from the game thread to enjoy the game more.

Pretty happy with our defense. Most of what the moron FOX announcers called drops were actually situations where the pressure from our DBs directly caused the ball to go incomplete.

Also more or less happy with our offense. After being up by 2-3 scores there was no reason to run anything risky anymore. It wasn't record setting pretty but it didn't need to be. Another very encouraging showing by Mitchell and Lewis.

Brady looked better than in the last few weeks so hopefully he will be close to 100% for the next two games.

Finally, a nice way to give Ghost some in-game reps. Not much to be upset about..
Really liked how the DBs were right on the Rams receivers with big hits just as the ball arrived. Those incompletions were far more about our DB play as opposed drops

First signs of post-Gronk TE development ..

Anyone think the Pats may want to give Foster WR reps in practice, now that Amendola is nicked?
I'd say splitting/motioning White out wide more, Dion takes whites rb snaps, and Foster preps for 3rd down backup work. But ya, something along those lines.

Said it before but I think there is a better chance that the team might kick the tires on Keshawn Martin if Dola has something lingering..

Who do you want to cut to make room?

I missed a lot of this game and wasn't in the game day thread, but from what I've seen and read, I'm happy. I saw they actually ran some corner blitzes, which I'm pleased with - that was something sorely lacking from the defensive playbook, and came with results. Dola being hurt stinks, but he's probably the least-needed WR right now (not that any are necessarily "expendable"), and you could honestly run White as a WR if you wanted to... A lot of FGs, when TDs would be nicer, but it's absolutely fan-f***ing-tastic to see Ghost making multiple successful kicks. It wasn't a "beautiful" game, but I'm feeling really good about it.

Is Martin available? Thought he signed with a team. If Danny is gonna be out for like 2 months, I might be inclined to IR him if Martin can come in.

Overall, the rams are pretty bad. The D isn't amazing, but 9th pass y/gm 20th rush y/gm and 16th points/gm is middle of the pack. I'd say we ended up a td short of normal expectations for the offense. I'm going to make an excuse and say it's a 1 game adjustment period for our O.

OTOH the rams offense is completely inept and our D did what should be expected of them.

First of all I'd invite Martin in and work him out to check if he is even in any shape. But now that Branch seems to be in a good spot I guess Kilgo might be the first name that comes to mind. Similarly, the Pats have shown that they are ok with exposing Foster to waiver claims when they cut him last week.
