With DA out, I'd like to see Lucien come up from the PS. I think he's got a lot of potential.

If Dola is out for an extended period I think we'd want someone more quick than Lucien. But he most probably beats any off street player who has no previous experience here.

I think they are untested. I think the D has faced only one good NFL QB out of those 12 games and he tore ne apart. Flacco is a good playoff QB, this is a test next week. If we shut down flacco and win the game I will be very complimentary of our D.

I know the 2016 patriots can beat the bad and average teams. Can they beat the very good teams? Time to find out

Overall, the rams are pretty bad. The D isn't amazing, but 9th pass y/gm 20th rush y/gm and 16th points/gm is middle of the pack. I'd say we ended up a td short of normal expectations for the offense. I'm going to make an excuse and say it's a 1 game adjustment period for our O.

OTOH the rams offense is completely inept and our D did what should be expected of them.

Rams were allowing 21 coming in

Pats were scoring 30ppg w Brady.

They scored 26 without Gronk.

Seems about right to me.

I would be pretty content with our defense if we managed that. 3rd down D is a huge concern with this defense against good QBs. I'll take that all day. Also an int helps a lot . Flacco rarely throws picks against ne.

Obviously points allowed is the most important, and limiting flacco on third down and forcing a turnover or two definitely should help us win. I'll be happy holding them to 17

That Miami loss makes today that much better. A nice 3 game lead with 4 to go.

A Bills win would be the icing on the cake.

I'd also rather face Baltimore after they have won a game and are their typical, loud mouthed, over confident selves, than after they have lost and are desperate in what is a tight division.

Yea. With that said I do agree that they left some points out there but 26 points and 400 yds of offense w 1st game without Gronk v a decent D is pretty good.
