He had a different injury that prevented him from flying, ya stupe.
This news obviously sucks and we're a worse team without Gronk. I think we can agree on that.
But Brady, McDaniels and Bill should come in for some serious criticism if they can't put together a very good offense with the weapons remaining. This ain't the last time we lost Gronk and had to put Matt Slater out there.
Road to the Super Bowl is going to be tough, but frankly I was expecting a pretty tough road with Gronk.
I haven't read the whole thread yet but...Am I the only one that is not too bothered by this news? We finally actually have some other weapons on offense. I don't think this team lives and dies by Gronk like it used to. I mean it sucks, he is a special player but I think they will be fine. I'm more concerned about the defense down the stretch against tougher teams.
When Derby is the solution you have a problem. Stop crying, all NFL teams are susceptible to this
Why on earth would they use IR return designation on Jacoby Brisett????
He was fit enough to play. Got hurt on a football play . Happens. Sometimes the explanations are as simple as much as they have tragic effects.

I'm not sure how 6 receptions for 65 yards would change anything for anyone. Playing hindsight on Dec. 1st is crazy.
So if he suffered the injury in the Seahawks game, and rather then getting surgery a week ago, he instead played the Jets game with an already ruptured disc?
Is it that hard to believe that there were two separate injuries? That he hurt his chest in Seattle and hurt his back against NY?
That said, ultimately (depending on where it is in the back), I wouldn't be surprised if they were related. That is to say, his back slipped when he fell against the Jets, but that only happened because his chest was still swollen and his back would have been fine if there was no other swelling around it.
