Unfortunately, it's a banned substance in the CBA. If they want to allow pot use, they'll have to bargain for it next time 'round. I think they'll have a good chance of it considering more and more States are legalizing it...but then again, the old money owners aren't going to go for that.

The problem with the CBA is that the players will have to give something up to get something they want, even if that thing they want is something that should 'just happen'. For instance last time around the players wanted less contact in practices and in turn they gave up on commisioner's power to arbitrate to get it.

It's not yet legal in MA and there's no way around the fact that it wasn't legal when he was using it, and it's not legal at the Federal level. No way around it, Branch made a mistake that is going to cost him four game checks (presuming he loses the appeal which seems likely) and is costing the team his services.

I agree, it should be legal and it should be regulated and taxed. It's far better than the prescription crap these players are using in large quantities.

I hope they don't give up something stupid to get marijuana off the banned substances list, but the standard often used is 'the majority of the players wanted it' so...
Used to stand for, Continental Basketball Association
Then, Collective Bargaining Agreement
Now, Complete Bunch of Acrimony

They are actually doing that regularly:

Its as light as it can get .. although there were some even lighter formations on Sunday w Mingo for Ninko

Interesting. I've seen Flowers in particular pushed inside throughout the year and others at time, but I had a hard time keeping track this last game. Serves me right for opting to watch a game with friends in what felt like 300ft away from the screen at a restaurant vs. in complete solitary confinement like I usually do being inches from the screen.

Oxy is your friend.

But, like friends who stay over for the weekend, you want to enjoy them being with you until you get everything accomplished, but not so long that you start to depend on them being there.

As a matter of fact, Oxy's been my friend the past couple of days (Kidney stone a/k/a the most ridiculously small thing to ever make you wish you were dead).

Been there brother -- one that was too big to pass. Not even oxy would do it for me, only ER trips for morphine kept me out of hell until the removal procedure could be done (procedure = the nightmare sequel to the original nightmare).
Good luck...

My sincerest condolences to you on your experience. I seem to have been lucky, if we can call it that. I believe the stone finally passed last night, since the pain is basically gone, and what's left feels like just a bit of damage that needs repairing with time and rest.

I'd bet the mortgage you are right as that is what it was for me on stone #1 about 6 years ago, A stone tears you up a little when it works its way through and passes. That first one was small enough to pass with "only" severe level pain when it actually passed. For two weeks afterwards it felt like I still had something going in there but another ultrasound showed nothing. Very likely that's what you're feeling.
On the one 2 years ago that was too big to pass? That's was a kind of new stratospheric level nightmare that should be friggin outlawed

Yeah, pain levels dropped from a 9/10/God please kill me to a 6/7/spike to 8, and it's now gone down from there.

What I dealt with was enough. I'll pass on your second experience, thanks. You should probably get a freakin' medal for it.

Here it is - it makes a great stocking stuffer.
You can also go super elite Patriot fan and go with an all glass version. Disclaimer: strictly for smoking tobacco only...

I remember a few of us making pipes in shop class back in the day (mine sucked, but a friend made 2 great ones and let me have the spare), and then having a cop threatening to bust us for having "paraphernalia" because we were wearing them as necklaces. The look on his face when I handed him mine and told him to go test it was worth every minute of the aggravation.

Must be something about paraphernalia making in high school shop class that leads later in life to kidney stones . I also got sent by my shop class teacher to the vice principal's office for "repeatedly making" paraphernalia.
Funny thing is the pipes I made were ridiculously heavy (great idea using tool steel), smoked terrible (tobacco only of course), and even cheap pipes from the local headshop were ten times better for smoking...

There's just never any good news about this defense. This is one of the least inspiring defenses of BB era

Same here. Didn't need surgery, thankfully. When my friend dropped me at the hospital, I said, "Tell my wife and kids I love them"
