Honestly have no idea how that Defense can be fixed

those are picks from 2015 and 2016

I know but my point is that the entire draft is just a big crapshoot and overall if you look at 3-5 year snapshots you will see that no team has a real "scouting" advantage. The Seahawks have failed to repeat drafting AllPro type players for 4 years now - which conincidentally is exactly when they started to draft repeatedly in the upper 20s.

One thing Belichick can do is stop overruling his scouts and taking stiffs like Easley, Dowling, Maroney, etc.
No need to go as far back as LaMa (who actually wasn't the obviously ******ed pick that the ones I'm about to mention were); a list that includes Stomper Meriweather, Terry Wheatley, Chicken Legs Crable, Kevin O'Connell, Busto Brace, Germie Cunnyham, Taylor Price, Glas-IR, Tavon Wilson, Jake the Fake Bequette, Aaron Dropson, Duhwrong Harmon, Josh Boyce, Easily (though he would be of better use now than the UDFA-talented comedy duo of Vinnie & Woody), Jordan Richards, GeeNo Grossem, and Florida St IR bodies Bryan Stork & Tre Jackson, is sufficient enough.

IMO - the scheme doesn't need to be adjusted drastically but it needs to be more aggressive. Blitz more. Bump receivers at the line more. Get in their face more. Manufacture a pass rush at times - bring in Mingo, blitz a DB maybe.

With slight adjustments plus lots of coaching to get the guys to "do their job" and just screw up less often, things would be a lot better... that's my take.

Very disappointed by our defense. Another Brady's year is wasted. The future of this team does not look bright.

I think you may be overreacting a bit. I don't think we should be assuming that Brady's year is wasted, considering that he was everyone's choice for league MVP prior to about 48 hrs ago, and they should be able to lock up a first round bye barring total collapse.

Also, the team will have about 60-70 million dollars in available cap space, so that would certainly bode well for your concerns in the future.

That's one hell of a list right there, considering that they're all top four round picks.

I'm not claiming that Belichick cannot draft by any means, but whiffing on that many players certainly hasn't helped, nor has losing out on 2 first round picks since April 2008.

He's got to be a troll.
