From what I understand about the IR rules, for him to return he will need to be out at least 8 week.s

Can return to practice after 6 weeks, to the roster after 8 weeks. IF they put him on IR even tomorrow he (just) misses the Pats game. I bet they will have this in mind before making a decision.

With Denver relying so heavily on its running game, this could be an injury that costs them some games.

I know many here were high on Booker and that he's looked decent so far, but the loss of Anderson could really hurt them.

There's a big difference between jogging and playing football. Probably a 3-6 month recovery time frame for him. 3 months would be just after the AFCCG.
