Re: CJ Anderson-Nothing is finalized. More tests today. There is fear of season-ending surgery. But as of now that's premature.

It's ok, they no longer need a running game now that they've got AJ "GOAT Pass Catcher" Derby playing TE for them.

Anyone could make their run game effective. As long as their line is continually allowed to hold and commit hands to the face penalties. NFL consistency FTW!

In the tweets Anderson denied “reports“ that he mentioned to his close ones its over for this year, cited Rapoport's tweet and called it disrespectful and said people should wait till tests are done.

Then deleted them and posted this one.

From what I've seen, I think Booker might be better than Anderson anyway. It'll hurt them in that they won't be able to rotate two good RBs to keep them fresh over the course of the game, but I wouldn't expect it to harm them all that much to be honest.

Booker looks far more explosive where Anderson is a battering ram. Together, they appear to have the making of a very nice 1-2 punch.

I agree Booker did look good the last game but watching him the whole season (since he might have been the one BB was waiting for with 5th rd pick) but he is no CJ Anderson. CJ carried the team on his back all these weeks. He destroyed Pats last year in the regular season - C.J. Anderson 15 113 7.5 2TD and was one of keys to the championship win and carried them all season all the way to the SB - 23 90 3.9 1 TD. He is a true and proved cornerstone of Broncos O and one of the few remaining RB beasts in the league.

Its also true that for Denver a combination of two RBs is essential. Anderson and Hillman were the best RB combo last year (that lasted the whole season). What was probably great to see in last couple of games for them is that Booker evolved into that second man (with surprising rookie FB Janovich added another dimension). But taking CJ's load will be a big ask for Booker .. therefore I think this is a really significant loss for them.

They are performing surgery today on anderson and will see if it's a partial or full tear. If it's full, he's done for the year. If partial, he could be back in 2 months.
