Kyle Van Noy traded to Pats

lb from Detroit, probably for draft pick compensation.

I remember belichick personally working him out a few years ago before the draft. I was almost certain he was going to be our pick that year.

Another former high round pick. I think he was out of BYU and linked to the Pats a decent amount.

I remember this guy. I kept calling him Kyle Troy from the movie, Ford Fairlane with Andrew Dice Clay.

Is he going to help the inside linebacker depth? Is he good? Somebody tell me something about him. Hopefully it was one of those move down the draft trades.

The Lions forum I found has a long thread called something along the lines of "Kyle Van Noy is not an NFL player". We've seen this movie before, though. Although, I don't expect much, given Roberts has shown he deserves to be the #3 LB. I think this reflects one or more of the following:

1) Ninkovich and/or McClellin is exclusively a DE now
2) BB sees Mingo as a ST-only player
3) Roberts isn't as highly-regarded in the coaches' eyes as he is in ours

6'3" 243 lbs, 26 years old. This is his 3rd year, all 3 with Detroit. Ran a 7.22 3 cone, drafted 40th overall in 2nd rd.

Gotta be a depth pickup for sure.

FIrst reaction - "and so it begins"

Second reaction - Who the F%ck is Kyle van Troy.

BB ALWAYS keeps us on our toes and is full of surprises.

I would have been excited had it been a guy like aaron lynch who has alot of potential.
