While I don't think this loss was necessary, it can have some upside. Going 4-0 would have been a massive confidence boost; however, going 4-0 without Brady might have made the team feel invincible and suffer a bump down the line as opposed to now.I know this comes off as a negative post, but I think this loss will make this team stronger and better than ever, just like that loss against KC couple years back.
The defense looked awful, but only managed to give up 16 points with the offense doing very little to give any support. The qb position was, in hindsight, going to give the team little to no chance to win today with an injured rookie who was drafted as a long-term project being tasked with leading us to victory.
The team seemed to sense this uphill battle and came out flat. I think the Houston game was a testament to the team wanting to send a message to America about their resolve. The 1pm time of this week's game, the fact the Bills usually roll over in Foxboro, and a lot of focus being on Brady's return these past few days, made this a trap game unlike most trap games.
And the team played with no confidence and no focus, an especially lethal combination.
