He wasn't targeted much this game. I would have thought he'd get more catches if he's healthy

I don't think he ran a single seam route so far this season. If you ask me the coaches are taking the big picture view here and giving him and his hammy all the time they can while giving him some snaps to work him slowly back in. No reason to risk anything with a 3:1 record..

Nobody's panicking but it put's more pressure to win because they chasing the donkeys. The donkeys right now can't do anything wrong.

I'll worry about them when the time comes. My first concern at the beginning of the season was how would these guys get through the first 4 games of the season without Brady which was compounded when Gronk couldn't play.

We now know and it's good. 3-1

Now lets get through the next four games and see where they are.

Broncos are a one trick pony. (pun intended) They have a great Defense. I'll take Brady and his new toys against their D all day.

I'll admit to both being happy that they are 3-1 AND a touch aggravated at this last game.

Obviously, before seeing the team play, I would have gladly taken 3-1. It just makes sense. Any Sunday can be crazy.

After three wins, and the hope Jimmy was returning, this fourth game was the first one I "expected NE to win". Therefore, it stings a bit that everything stalled. Bad tackling was key. But so where missed ops. Looking forward to a rebound with Brady back.

Well we will see. We need to get on a roll here with brady. Need a winning streak.

Glass half empty viewpoint: The Pats got dominated in every phase of the game. Too many penalties. Bad tackling. Got shut out at home by the Bills.

Glass half full viewpoint: The Bills played their asses off. Pats missing Brady, Nink, and, pretty much, Gronk. D only let up 16 points. Offense had a huge play called back (opening play), the refs screwed them on the bad spot on the Blount first down inside the 10, then the penalty, then the fumble, so the Pats went from potentially scoring a TD to getting nothing, then Ghost missed a FG....the Pats should have been right in this game even with everything that went wrong. And they're 3-1 and get the greatest QB ever back fresh and healthy and angry. Oh, and they're in first place alone in the division, while the Jets are 1-3.

I think I'll happily take the glass half full viewpoint.

Contrary to the popular "I'm a tough guy" opinion, that's what happens virtually every single time. Belichick said that during his press conference this week.
I am not sure what you are referring here. There are always going to be some folks tougher than others. Is it wrong to say someone is tougher (i.e. can tolerate more pain) than someone else ? It has nothing to do with being macho.

a combination of the worst officiating i've ever seen with one of the worst offensive gameplans in recent history.

The patriots offense didn't show up.

Pats played incredibly soft.

I'm not worried about any aspect of our team except for one: Gostkowski. I raised the topic a while back and lots of people here were dismissive of my concerns. I love Ghost, but he's missing kicks going back to the Denver game last January at a rate that's alarming for the highest paid kicker in the league.

Nothing wrong with Gronk. Why are you asking ?

What do you mean nothing wrong? He clearly cannot play the way he & the rest would want to.
He said himself - he can't wait to get to play like crazy. It doesn't look close.
All have to be patient. Might take a while. Slightly concerned & hopeful.

Nothing to do here but give the bills their Superbowl trophy, bury the game ball and move right on. This is one of those inexplicable losses that we seem to have once a year in the AFC, and no amount of analysis is going to help.

Don't take this the wrong way but if the defense only allows 16 points a game I'm going to be ecstatic.

Sure they didn't play well today. I get it. But 16 is not going to beat a Brady led team.

On a side note: Brady must be frothing at the mouth with thought of having Bennett and Gronk. Bennett is the real deal.
Well, currently it's Bennet and the corpse of Gronkowski. He isn't looking very spry out there.

So you think Gronk is 100 percent and just not getting open or getting thrown to for fun eh?

He is used almost exclusively as a blocker by design to minimise risk and give even more time for his hamstring to get back to 100%. We are not talking about defences shutting him down but the Pats deliberately phasing him slowly back and not exposing him to any dangerous routes or situations.

Bank on him having a monster game against the Bengals and considerably more redzone targets next week with Brady against the Browns.
