That leaves Russell (#1). Revis (#14) and Quinn (#22) as the lone holdouts....While I may not agree, I understand both sides wrt the QB holdouts, especially a Number 1 pick. Can someone explain to me why Revis is holding out? I would think you look at what Carriker got from the Rams at #13, use that as the ceiling and use what Timmons got from the Steelers at #15 as the floor and work it out..........Are there other issues involved?

Revis is adament on a five year deal while the Jets are adament on a six year one.

Thanks, he probably wishes he was drafted at #17 now when the max contract is 5 years.........

Yeah, ironic about how all sides are willing to effectively burn a year talking about whether the contract will be 5 years or 6, huh?

Interesting that 2 out of 3 are QB's wonder how open the window will be if they miss all of TC, will their first year be essentially a wasted year where they probably not contribute at all.. thus negating the 5 vs. 6 year contract thing for Russell. Thank goodness most of us are Pats Fans, even Revis will probably not be ready to play, if he signs, until mid season. Can never figure out why some of these guys jeopardize their relationship with the Coaching Staff by holding out so long, also do not understand why some of the orgs do the same thing.. it seems so counterproductive.

Maybe they can split the differance. Settle on a five and a half year contract.
