Pats +3 vs HOU

Pats underdogs at home... enjoy it now cause it doesn't happen very often

That 9.5 spread in AZ was stupid. There seems to be a lot of antiPats people trying to cash in while Brady is out.

Now the Pats for a change get to offer up the rookie QB who the opposing team thinks they can have their way with..

Gonna run it down their throats.

I'm hoping we won't do that. They're going to focus exclusively on stopping the run, stack the box every single time. They'll try to force Brissett to win the game, and I think he can, although it's a very tall order since he has no time to review his mistakes (blew a few blitz calls) and must move onto game install right away.

TAKE THE PINTS!!!!

I MEAN POINTS

I'll take a pint.

That number is going to at least double before the game arrives, especially once they learn Gronk and Hightower will also not play. IMHO, winning THIS game will be a bigger upset than the Cardinal game. And I think the short week HURTS us more than it hurts them.

Belichick brings the 3 RB set back for 1 game ... old school football.

What makes me feel good about this game are the following 2 things:

1. Houston usually ****s the bed in prime time games.
2. Houston always ****s the bed in Foxboro.
Houston has never played he Pats when they start a 3d string qb w 3 days of prep, too....

Being at home, both for the stadium and the extra day of practice should help.

I don't bet, but I am curious what the over/under is for total points on this game.

Looks like the oddsmakers took the pints.

Yes, I re-followed you. I am a tolerant person. It's not like you framed an innocent man for removing air from footballs.

No doubt, Ken, particularly under these circumstances of attempting to get a very raw rookie QB prepared.

Nothing up on my site yet regarding the total. The spread, as mentioned, is HOU-3.

Shut down Lamar Miller, force the game into Osweiler's hands, and at minimum, break even with Houston's DL and the Patriots are in with a great shot.

The Texans have done a good job of adding other receiving talent around Hopkins--who will be a handful by himself as it is. First round pick rookie Will Fuller has topped 100 yards in both of his first two games and looks very explosive. This isn't bringing Braxton Miller into the equation, as he's still getting acclimated to their system and hasn't received many looks yet.

That's not meaning to disagree with your thinking in any way, but rather to touch on the "force Osweiler to beat you" theory. What you say makes a lot of sense, but we'll need our secondary to play much better.

I understand Houston is collecting a fair amount of skill position talent @supafly it's more I'm not impressed by Osweiler. Mind you, I just watched Ryan Tannehill go all world on the Patriots in the second half so what do I know?
